Lost Love

11. Date night

Liz was filling her reports quickly. She has a big night today. She didn't have anything decent to wear today so she needs to pick a new outfit and some other accessories for her. Guess what she is going on a date with Steve.

Still she needs to attend her last patient in her list today. Mrs. Parker was kind and a lovely lady. She was suffering from a rare heart disease; she was there in the hospital for almost a month. Somehow she was close to me.

I hurried to Mrs. Parker's room and injected her with some new medicines. After everything was over Mrs. Parker smiled at me and said thank you my child.

Mrs. Parker it's my duty to take care of you so don't mention that I said.

So, you got a big day for you huh? She asked.

I was surprised and said yes blushing.

Expecting a ring on your finger my dear she said.

Not too soon I said and waved her goodbye and I ran to my cabin. So somehow the entire hospital was aware of my date night. Even Mrs. Parker has known. For the past five days everybody was asking about my lover because my face was glowing with love ever since I meet him. But nobody knows the truth about me.

I changed my dress and went to reception to sign off my register.

Someone got a date finally, Maria the receptionist said.

I gave her an embarrassed look and went away quickly.

I drove straight to mall to pick everything I want in the same place. I love black color so I brought a simple black dress and a jacket. Currently I am running out of my personal accessories so I picked up lotions, shampoo and other items and went straight to home.

I took a long shower tending my body carefully. I looked myself in the mirror, for the first time in my life I hate the way I look. I used to be the most beautiful girl back then. But that girl was long gone. My skin was tanned and my hairs were short and wavy now; I even lost my lovely blue eyes. She looked at her body; the only thing I recognize about myself was my body. It was perfectly curvy and slender.

A drop of tear escaped from my eyes. I want the old Liz back; now that Steve has returned why the spell can't broken yet. But I know that he will love me no matter how I look. Suddenly she was distracted by the ringing of her phone. So she quickly draped her robe and came out. The phone was silent now; it was already 6:35, he will come and pick me in less than half an hour so I dried my hair and brushed it quickly; I applied light make up. After everything was over I came downstairs checked my phone. Steve has called me earlier, when I was about to call him back I saw a black Mercedes; it was Steve. He greeted me with a kiss on my cheek and opened the door for me.

Half an hour later we were seated perfectly enjoying our date night. The food was delicious. But Steve sensed that something was bothering me. He looked into my eyes for a long time.

Liz?

Hmm yeah I said.

You know I love you no matter how you look now? He said.

Yes I smiled.

I love your beautiful and pure heart; I didn't fall for your beauty Liz. I still see the sweet and innocent girl once I met, he said.

I smiled and blushed.

We came out of the restaurant; it was dark and cold outside. He was about to ask something to me when I noticed two men across the road; I saw those man near my home earlier, in fact Steve also recognized them. Those men were following us from the beginning he said. When those men realized that we saw them, they ran off quickly.

We hurried to the car and he asked me to spend the night in Beth's home. Since it was summer holiday I called her to check whether she is in home or not. Lucky for me she is home. So he drove me to her house and asked me to stay there until he comes. Since it was a weekend I agreed to him.
