Lou's P.O.V.
I glanced at my watch then back at the empty chair in front of me. He said he'd meet us here, but the class is almost over and he didn't showed up.
Calum and I had been together for a couple of months and, I admit, I tried and I'm kinda growing feelings for him. But I'm still not over Ashton. I still care about him. If only he didn't went knocking that day when he picked up Bianca and we continued ignoring each other, I may have lost it already. But, that's it, we became closer and closer each day. That sometimes I feel like I was that girl he described - that maybe I was that girl he fell in love after all.
But, rather, I felt jealous to whoever she was. Of course, that can't be me
I mean, yeah, I'm pissed at him - at least I used to - then we get to know each other more but that must be a coincidence. I'm sure there's other girls who used to hate him and now they're okay.
It can't be me.
Calum reached for my hand, sighing. "I'm sure he's okay, babe."
I smiled, looking at him. I feel bad for Calum. I know he's hurting but I can't help it when it comes to Ashton.
Niall, who was sitting behind me, fake coughed. "Can I borrow your notes?"
"Yeah, sure," I said slowly, handing him the notebook that was on my desk, as I eyed him.
"Oh, no. Not that one," he said, shaking his head. Don't get me wrong but there is something evil about his smiles.
"That's my only notebook," I said, confused.
"Really?" He smirked. "Cause I think I saw Ashton with a black leather notebook awhile ago. I can't think of anyone with the initials L.A.S. other than you."
Realizing what he was saying, my eyes widen in confusion. I wish he's just making it up but he just described my first diary that I misplaced - or I thought I did! I mean, I have a new one now after I lost it almost three months ago. I wanted it back - god, who doesn't? It's a diary after all. But I never found it, hoping I had only misplaced it or for someone to give it back. Someone I don't know and would feel bad for invading someone's privacy.
But everything turned the other way around as he continued. "I did heard them saying something about Bianca reading it. No wonder he did too! So I thought I could borrow it too."
"Excuse me?" I snapped, glaring at him, and as if on cue, the bell rang. I watched him as he stood up. Smirking, he made his way out.
"Are you okay, babe?" Calum asked, picking up my bag.
"I," I shook my head, standing up. "I don't know. It's... I have a bad feeling."
"Oh, there he is," Calum said the moment we got out of class to the hallway. He was leaning on the wall, smiling when he sees us approaching. "Hey, man. Where have you been? You missed the class. Our substitute teacher was so hot."
But before he can even answer him, I glared at him and said; "open your bag, Irwin!"
"What?" He chuckled, raising his eyebrow.
I rolled my eyes and snatched his backpack from him, opening it myself. I didn't have to dig in to see what I was looking for. I took out the familiar notebook, dropping his bag to the floor, as I give him a questioning look. "What's this?"
"Its not what you think," he said alarmingly, looking from me to the notebook then back to me.
"I said," I snapped. "What's this?"
"Your di---," he sighed. "Your notebook."
"And I don't remember giving this to you," I said. And now I really wish Niall was lying but here it is, I guess. While Niall watched us in amusement from afar, I lost myself, cutting Ashton off before he can even begin. "What are you doing with this? Oh my god! Is this one of your pranks? What now? Are you going to tell me that you and Bianca are planning on something entirely huge to embarrass me? Well, congratulations! You did it!"
"Lou," Bianca started, standing beside Ashton. "It's not like that."
"Shut up, Bianca! Just shut up!" I yelled, drawing more attention now. "What happened to us? You changed a lot when he left us. Not everything revolves around you, you narcissist bitch! You are my sister. I am your sister! You can make fun of me, but enough is enough! You're disgusting!"
"Lou," she repeated in a low voice. There were tears forming in her eyes but I ignored her.
"And you," I said, glaring at Ashton. "Was everything a game? A lie? God, tell me! Was that how you got my attention? Because you thought it would be fun and went through it? And pretended like you care? Like you changed? You're still the same, Ashton! A jerk! I believed you! I trusted you! I lo--- damn you, Irwin! I loved you!"
"You do?" He asked.
"Save it," I snapped, pulling Calum's hand. "I just said loved, didn't I? I'm happy it's in the past. I'm better off without you. Let's go, Calum."
"Baby, please," Calum muttered, squeezing my hand. Ignoring him, I gave Ashton one last look before I walked out with Calum behind me.
