Niall’s POV
We got to the hotel room awhile later, and I quickly picked up the clothes that were scattered on the ground, tossing them into my suitcase and throwing it into the closet.
“Liam is picking up Danielle at the airport right now, so they’ll be back later, then I can introduce you to them.” I told her, she looked a bit scared, “they’ll love you don’t worry, and Danielle is super nice so I think you guys will be close,” I gave her a reassuring smile. In a way, Molly and Danielle are pretty similar, they both have a similar personality, shy but also very funny. And they both like clothes apparently…
I sat on my bed and turned on the tv, patting the spot next to me. Reluctantly she shuffled over and sat next to me, pulling the covers over herself.
“Are you cold?” I asked her.
She nodded and I scooted closer to her, putting my arm over her shoulder and rubbing her arm.
“Better?”
“Thanks” she mumbled and her cheeks filled with color.
I found Safe Haven on the movie channel and we watched it in the dark. She was so into the movie, occasionally laughing or gasping when something startled her. I watched her at some points, seeing her face lit up from the soft glow of the television. Her eyes were colorful. They were green, but they had little specks of gold and blue in them which gave them a lively look. My gaze slipped to her lips.
Just go for it, my heart told me.
Molly’s POV
The movie was at the part where she was painting her floor yellow. I love movies like these, it gives me hope that things get better.
I felt Niall shift his position and I looked up at him, noticing him staring at my lips. He moved closer till our foreheads touched, “you know you’re beautiful Molly, right?”
He placed his lips so close to mine that I could feel his breath. Then my heart skipped a beat as he gently kissed me, unsure if it was right.
I was shocked at first, but I kissed him back as he cupped my cheeks with his hands.
You’re just going to hurt him
He deserves better
You’re going to mess everything up
I tried to deepen the kiss to drown out the voices. It was like there was one side of me where there were people around me screaming out all my insecurities, all my worries. They screamed so loud I couldn’t ignore them, they’re my imagination, I know that, but it makes it worst sometimes. They know everything, they know my past, they know all my thoughts, all my secrets, all my dreams, and for some reason that side of me just wants to destroy everything. I don’t know why. But sometimes I just wish they were real, because then I would have the chance to ignore them, or at least run from them.
But it’s near impossible to run from yourself.
Niall’s POV
I felt something drip onto my arm, and opened my eyes, pulling away to see tears streaming down Molly’s cheeks. She kept her eyes closed but hung her head in shame.
“What’s wrong, why are you crying babe?”
I used my index finger to try and lift up her chin, but she pulled away, avoiding eye contact.
She shook her head, “I’m fine.”
“I know you’re not fine, stop saying that so people don’t ask. You can tell me anything, no matter what it is. You know I would never judge you.”
