Niall’s POV:

The boys and I arrived back to our hotel after the signing. It’s been an hour since I talked to Rachael about Molly and I could tell Liam was worried with me. We were both really antsy, and I kept biting my nails. We’ve never really had to go through something like this, where you literally feel like you have someone’s life in your hands, but by how long it’s been, I feel like she’s slipping through my fingers.

We went into our rooms, Liam and I shared one, as well as Harry and Louis, Zayn on the other hand preferred his own room. I sat on the little sofa and put my phone onto the small coffee table next to it. I just sat there and stared at the phone, bouncing my knee.

“Niall it’s getting late, you should change into some sweats and just relax, she’s going to be okay.” Liam shouted from the bathroom while brushing his teeth with his new glowing toothbrush.

Reluctantly, I got up and rummaged through my suitcase to grab an old hoodie and sweatpants. Then, I slugged my way into the bathroom to brush my teeth as well. Liam patted my back, “you look terrible man, it’s not your fault though, no matter what happens, it’s not your fault.” He gave me a small smile. Suddenly I heard my phone vibrate on the table. I dropped my toothbrush and ran to the other room, tripping over some clothes lying on the floor, when I got to my phone it showed that I had a new message from Molly.

“I don’t know what to do anymore.”

My heart threatened to beat right out of my chest and I sighed with relief. She was okay. I typed a message, “Do you want to talk?” and sent it back along with my number. Immediately my phone buzzed in my hand, a call from ‘Unknown’. I swiped the answer button and pressed the phone to my ear.

“Molly?” I asked.

“Hey Niall.” Her voice was so soft, but strained, I could tell that she was just crying.

For a few minutes it was just silence. Until finally I gathered the nerve to ask her what has been bugging me since I read the letter.

“Why?”

I could hear her take a deep breath, “I just wanted somebody to know. I’ve spent my whole life hiding it, and it’s a lot to carry. I just needed to get it off my chest before…” she trailed off. “And I gave it to you because, well I don’t know really, I just felt like I needed to.”

I didn’t know what to say to that, so I changed the subject. I brought up random things, anything really just to get her mind off the day. We talked for hours. Liam had gone to bed around 11:30, so I locked myself in the bathroom to talk to her without disturbing him. Around two in the morning, our conversation started to die down, she was getting tired, her voice was getting softer, until finally all I could hear was her soft breathing. I hung up the phone, I promised her that I would be there until she fell asleep so she wasn’t alone.

I unlocked the bathroom door slowly opened it, and it groaned loudly. Liam was in his bed snoring and I quietly slid into my bed and wrapped myself in the covers. I stared at the ceiling, thinking about Molly, she was really sweet, but also really shy and I could tell she was nervous about talking to me, but I didn’t mind I thought it was cute. I closed my eyes then, and tried to relax my thoughts or else I would be up until six in the morning and that was when we had to get up to get ready for an interview. I knew I was going to feel like crap tomorrow since I was only going to get four hours of sleep, but it was worth it, I know it was.
