Chapter 21: Dead?

Hiccup POV

I moved my head away "Astrid, Astrid no" I said trying to keep her awake "I can't lose you too" I didn't care who saw me cry when she wouldn't wake up.

Merida looked pleased with herself "she tried to kill ye and she would have tried again if I hadn't stopped her" she stated thinking that would make everything better

"No she wasn't, the thought of me being dead because of her, or just in general shocked her out of the hypnotism, I was perfectly safe" I yelled at her.

Jack came floating over probably to see what the yelling was about "Hiccup..." he stopped himself after actually seeing what had happened. He stopped Elsa, Heather and Ruffnut from getting any closer knowing I needed space.

I could just about see the three of them, Ruffnut and Heather were tearing up, they had lost their closest friend and Elsa was a complete mess, she had been Astrid's best friend and only company for two years.

Elsa had accidentally started a snow storm but I didn't care. I continued holding Astrid even after they had gone Jack tried to make sure I had time alone but Rapunzel still got to me.

She sat next to me "do you trust me?" She asked.

"Yeah" I managed to say

"then leave me alone with her for a few minutes" she requested.

It was a strange request but I agreed "suppose I... should start... clearing up... that... bewilderbeast... left a whole... lot of... ice" I managed to say between sobs before leaving Astrid behind.
