Chapter 30: The Final Battle

Hiccup POV

By the time I got to Berk I knew the party would have ended and Dagur would be on his way. I landed and jumped off Toothless, I could see that mom had the Vikings ready and prepared "mom Dagur is ours we'll handle him, you and the villagers take the rest of his armada, once we have Dagur they'll retreat" I yelled over to her.

I headed straight for the arena hoping the gang would already be there. Luckily for me Heather had taken charge making them go to the arena to wait for more instructions from me. Ruff and Tuff were once again arguing over something, or so I thought "what are they..."

"This time it's nothing, they just decided instead of waiting for you they would kill time by fighting each other to see who would win" Heather sighed.

"Guys stop" I yelled "okay so Dagur is on his way but so is Astrid she's going to be able to help us, if we work as a team they won't stand a chance you get it?" I explained as quickly as I could.

They all, for the first time ever, actually understood what I was saying to them. "Mom has the rest of the Vikings prepared, those who can fight will fight the people on the ships but Dagur, he is all ours, we are the only few that can actually stop him" I started to explain my plan.

Astrid POV

I knew that Hiccup would be at the arena so I landed there "so, what did I miss?" I asked smirking slightly. Elsa, Heather and Ruffnut turned around and ran over to me.

"You remembered everything?" Heather asked. I smiled at her "I never forgot it just had to pretend to buy us more time"

"So you knew everything all along?" Ruff asked "yeah, anyway Dagur is close and I think he has some of Drago's men with him" I had noticed it on the way down.

Elsa was about to say something when we heard the horn blow "they're here, positions everyone" Hiccup obviously had a plan "Astrid you're with me milady"

We flew and waited until we could see which ship had Dagur on it "we have to go in when he gets off the ship, he thinks we're still in Dunbroch which is an advantage for us"

I understood exactly what he meant and so we waited while the others shot at the ship. We watched as the twins caused destruction, as Elsa and Jack shot frozen blasts of ice at the ships, as Snotlout burned ships, as Heather made holes and sunk ships.

Rapunzel and Flynn were helping the injured Vikings get away from the battle and Rapunzel healed them so they could carry on. I was almost too distracted worrying about keeping an eye on the others.

Dagur left his ship before it sank and was visible. Before he had a chance to attack anyone I yelled "Stormfly spineshot" and pointed towards Dagur she shot her spines so that Dagur was surrounded in a cage of spines.

I landed next to him with Hiccup "something you didn't count on, I was playing you all along, I never forgot who I am and I never will" I said grabbing Hiccup's hand and holding it.

Dagur tried to run "try it and I will use this" I pointed my axe at him stopping him from running "Hiccup, arrest him already"
