A/N: This part is a lot longer than any other part I've ever written, so apologies in advance!! xD I hope you enjoy it still, and don't worry - I haven't forgotten about the fake soap opera sketch. It did happen and it'll be mentioned in detail eventually. c: Hope you enjoy this chapter, falpals!!
My alarm woke me up at 3. Jimmy easily slept through it, snoring softly into his pillow, one arm draped around my waist. I hit snooze and rolled over, causing him to gently stir awake. His snoring ceased and he tightened his grip, pulling me closer. "What time is it?" he whispered.
"Three," I replied. It was then I remembered he was sleeping shirtless - he didn't go back for his 'bedtime stuff' this time and therefore had slept in his boxers.
I had no objection to this.
Jimmy let go of me to rub his tired eyes. I stretched out under the covers, feeling a mix of excitement and sadness; I was pumped to go on tour again, but extremely dismayed I had to leave my better half behind. I stared at the ceiling, lost in thought. Jimmy pulled me in and held me, allowing me to bury my face in his neck. I would've fallen asleep again if I wasn't so anxious. I felt his chest rise and fall as he breathed, his heart pounding just inches from mine. He tenderly kissed just below my ear. "It won't be long," he said softly. "And I'll call you every day."
My eyes filled with tears and for once I let them fall in his presence. He couldn't see me anyway, but he must've felt them against his skin because he pulled me back a little. He wiped them away with the back of his finger. "Don't cry, babe," he whispered. "Two months. We can do that."
"Can we?" I didn't feel like I could.
He smiled weakly and kissed my forehead. "It'll be tough, but we'll be okay. I promise."
I sighed and ruffled his hair. He grinned and closed his eyes at my touch. "When does your plane leave?"
"Never," I said. He laughed. I smiled at the sound. "4:30," I admitted, wishing for a moment that the actual answer had been the first. "I want you to come."
"I know....I wish I could."
We lied in silence for a minute, enjoying the closeness of each other, until my alarm went off a second time. Jimmy jumped. I chuckled and turned it off for good.
He picked me up out of bed and carried me out of the room. "What on earth are you doing?" I laughed.
"Hey, this is our last date for a while. I want to make it special." He set me down on the couch and went back to the bedroom to throw on his jeans. He was slipping on his button-up and walking back out to the living room when a knock came at the door.
Jimmy froze. "Who is that?" he whispered. My heart skipped.
"Oh crap," I muttered. "My mom....it's my mom."
"Your mom?!" he whisper-screeched. "You didn't tell me she would be here!"
"I forgot! She always goes on tour with me!" I replied just as soft. She knocked again. I got up off the couch and guided Jimmy back to my bedroom.
"What are we gonna do?" he breathed, the top half of his shirt unbuttoned.
"Just...just stay in here. I'll get her out somehow."
"What??"
"Trust me!" I whispered. I kissed him quickly. "Love you."
I shut the door and ran back to the living room. "Hey!" I cried, letting her in.
"Nat!!" she shouted, engulfing me in a bear hug. "It's so nice to see you, muffin!" I helped her bring in her suitcase and closed the door behind her.
