I close my eye tightly when those words came over his mouth...but the truth always hurts.

I let go and wipe the unnoticed tears that had gone down my cheeks. "I should probably get going...I need to...do stuff." I couldn't bring up that i was starting to pack up.

"Yeah, of course...I'll see you later." He nods and looks. "Have a safe trip back home, Veronica."

"Yeah, I will." I look at him one last time.

*******

"If I leave him then, I would probably never find someone like him ever again and dating would be hell and I don't even know if we broke up already. I mean when I left it was if we had but we didn't make it official. We didn't say it out loud but I think we both were thinking it.

"But I don't want it to be over, he's the most wonderful guy I have ever met and I'm scared to ask him what we are now..." I catch a breath for a second. "Are we still together? Long distance? Friends?! I have so many questions. Does he want to make it still work out? I love Toby but I need to finish my school first.

"If Toby and I ever where to last then I need to have a career where I could live with my own money and not have to ask him for it." I stop and look at my floor bed. "I'm sorry, I just needed someone to talk to."

"It's not big deal even though I could careless." Nathan shrugged. "Both of you are just making it a big deal. Toby needs to grow some balls and respect your wishes. You need to say something before its too late."

"But If I would have something earlier, he would do something ridiculous like try to somehow get it." It sounds very self-conceited when I say that out loud.

"Well, you're leaving in less then four weeks. Use your time wisely" Nathan smiled. "The Fray sucks."

I threw a shoe box at him. "Don't criticize my music, please."

"It's called honest truth."

"Yeah, well...well...One Direction suck." Not true.

"For your information, Louis Tomlinson is bae." Nathan smirked.

"You, sir, are an idiot." I laugh and continue folding some clothes into my luggage. "So what ever happened to the bastard that was threatening to kick you guys out?"

"Nothing, he said that we were all good." Nathan shrugs, again. "He told us that somebody payed for us for the whole year."

We both knew who: Toby.

***********************************

Somehow Nathan and the others got me to final talk to Toby about the whole relationship thing. It was awkward on me, to say the least.

"Ummm, Toby?" I whisper, poking him on the shoulder. "Tobyyy" I whispered again.

He looked at me. "Yes, Veronica?"

"I need to talk to you about something important."

"Why are you still whispering?" He whispered back.

I shrugged and grabbed his hand, leading him to my room.

Everyone- Nathan, Scott, Dash, Roman, Fawn, Drew, and John- had come to my house to watch a movie and play some monopoly.

Everyone decided that they would make my last few weeks here the best.

Toby followed me upstairs. I locked the door and sat down on my floor-bed.

"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Toby messed with his hair, not even looking at me.

I breath in and out a couple of times. "What are we right now, Toby? The last time we talked it was as if we had just broken up...I knew that it was somehow going to lead to that but I didn't think It would be this soon."

he didn't speak, just kept messing with his hair or examining his shoes.

"I'm guessing you're still mad at me...but I thought maybe we could have worked something else" I started playing with my own hands. "Are we really over?"

"Even you said it yourself, you knew this was gonna happen but you still let it." He spoke quietly. "Maybe you should focus on yourself instead right now. I mean, you're going to college. You should be happy." He starts walking to the door. "Bye, Veronica."

That night I cried for the only guy I ever loved...and I cried that morning in the shower too and once again when I was heading to bed. I didn't think my actions would have this result.

***************************

They broke up! It has been confirmed.
