I sat next to Stiles, between him and Derek. He gave me a look and shook his head. "Uh uh, no way. Get up their with Braeden."
"In case your forgetting, between the three of us." I pointed at Derek, Stiles, and me. "I am the best."
"She's not wrong!" Braeden yelled, and I smirked.
Stiles rubbed his eyes. "Okay fine, whatever."
I smiled, sitting down as Derek chained Liam to the other side of the seats.
Once he sat down, Braeden was off. Derek pulled something out of his pocket, showing it to Liam. "I brought you something. Its been with my family for centuries. Its a very powerful tailsman. We use it to reach betas how to control themselves on a full moon."
He looked at Stiles, who was very confused. Derek sighed just as Stiles got it.
"Yes, its powerful." He cleared his throat. "Very powerful."
"And just use your anchor." I pitched in.
Liam looked at me. "I haven't found one yet. But I'm been using my anger, and its working a bit. But I don't think it will work in this situation."
"It has to be enough. But you also have to find an anchor. Someone you hold close to you. Family, Mason, lacrosse."
He nodded, and I gave him a sympathetic smile.
"Have you heard from your dad?" Stiles asked, but I shook my head.
"He usually texts me telling me to have a good day and that he loves me. But now that I think of it, I never got a text."
"Well, I'm sure he's fine." Stiles tried to comfort me.
I faked a smile. "Yeah, yeah. He's fine. He's always fine." I peeked at my phone, not seeing anything from him.
I hope he's fine.
;;
Liam suddenly jerked, causing me and Stiles to jump back. His breathing became rapid, and beads of sweat covered his forehead. "Whatever you're gonna teach me," he began, looking at Derek as his eyes glowed yellow. "I think you better start."
"Liam, you with me?" Derek said. "We have a mantra that we use. You repeat it, you focus on the words."
"Like meditating?" I asked.
"Exactly." Stiles said.
"You say the words until you feel control coming back to you." Derek calmly said.
Liam panted and strained against the metal chains. "Okay, okay! What are the words?"
"Okay, looks at the triskelion. See the symbol? I have a tattoo on my back, its the same thing. Each spiral means something."
"Alpha, beta, omega." Stiles mentioned.
"It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another. Betas can become alphas. Alphas can become betas."
"Can alphas become omegas?" Liam asked, looking worried.
Derek nodded. "All you have to do is say the three words and with each one, you tell yourself you're getting calmer, more in control. Go ahead."
Liam sighed. "Alpha, beta-"
"Slower," I ordered.
Liam closed his eyes. "Alpha, beta, omega." He groaned in pain, before saying it again. "Alpha. Beta. Omega."
