Chapter 3: His Life

(Sam’s POV)

Damn this life! Sam muttered as he slowly walked around his living room. He’s bored as hell. Known as the rebellious son of their family, he lived up to the title. As early as 18, he bought his own condo so he could live away from his family.

Amidst the bad impressions, he is also known as a genius. At a very young age, he was able to develop a security software that is now being used by if not every company in the Metro, by most of the nation-wide acclaimed private companies. Through his investments and his royalty from the software that he built, he was able to build his own IT company.

Today was a Saturday. He was supposed to be out and having fun, yet, his VP from his company called him earlier and informed him of a slight problem that he has to attend to. He immediately drove to his office, only to get dismayed to see that there’s really no emergency.

Only to find out that the only reason why he was being summoned there is because one of his hot flings – Amanda, was there and making a scene. She was demanding to see him and was threatening all of his employees. Out of frustration that his original plan of wakeboarding with his friends was ruined, he slammed the door right in her face after shouting a thunderous, “Get the hell out of my building!” to her.

Amanda is a spoiled rich brat. She is the daughter of one of the powerful businessmen in the country. They met through a common friend and since then, she never stopped clinging to him. For numerous times, he told her that he could never commit to her or anyone in particular and what they have is well, just sex - a call of nature and flesh.

She is just one of the many girls that go in and out of his life. Most of them he could no longer recall their names. And he never makes an effort to get a girl to like him, it’s the other way around. It’s the girls who constantly throw themselves at him. Well, I am just a guy. I find it hard to say no to a beautiful and tasty meal in front of me.

Knowing that he doesn’t have time to follow his friends, he dialed his other friends’ numbers.

“Dude, are you guys busy? I’m bored. Let’s go out tonight, my treat. See you at our favorite bar.” The he pressed the end key.

And that’s how he plans to spend the rest of the day, go out partying and with a little bit of flirting with girls on the side.

He immediately grabbed his keys and drove around. He would kill some time before meeting his friends at the bar. Hopefully, his day would end blissfully, having it ruined earlier. He doesn’t want to have a sour mood for the rest of the day.
