Chapter 9: When Will I See You Again?

“What’s your problem dude?”

“What?!” He asked his friend, Mike. Mike has been one of his college buddies. Until now, they are still close to each other and in fact, has been one of the stockholders in the company that he built. He is also the most sensible in their group.

“That.” Mike sternly said pertaining to his mood. “I don’t know what happened but you have been grumpy and moody since last week, dude. We can’t even make any sensible conversation with you.”

“Nothing happened. I am still me. You, on the other hand, have a lot of papers to sign. So why don’t you just leave me in peace and do what you’re supposed to do?”

“See? You’re always like that for the past week. Our employees might get scared of you and then word will be out on how much of a tyrant boss you are.”

“I don’t effin’ care what they think.”

“Hmn. Let me guess, girl issue?” Mike smiled. He knows his friend very well. They wouldn’t be buddies for nothing. He’s amused as this is the first time that he saw his friend in that state. He’s normally approachable especially to sexy girls.

“Girl issue? Never had one, never will have one. Why don’t you just get out and leave me in peace?”

“Whatever you say, buddy. You know am just here if you need someone to talk to.”

When Mike closed the door, Sam sighed and leaned back on his chair.

It has been a week since she left his condominium without a word or goodbye. He wanted to look for her, but he doesn’t even know her name. And that makes him always on the edge and in a sour mood.

He couldn’t let go of her memories and the way she looked that night. For the entire week that she has been occupying his thoughts, he could now not determine if it’s because of the “unfinished business” with her or of something else. One thing that he’s sure of – he wants to see her again. And to put this craziness to end, he knows he should see her soon and have her.

Perhaps it’s just the mystique that she exudes. She’s like a puzzle waiting to be discovered and concluded. And I want to be the one to discover things about her. Once I get to that part, then perhaps I would lose interest in her then totally move on.

“Oh hell! There’s a lot of girls prettier than she is. I could easily get one now and forget all about her.” He stood up, stomped his feet and walked out of his office.

He went out of his building and went straight to a bar. He knows that he could hook up with another girl in no time.

“Ate? Where should I put this on?” Bella asked her, waking her up from her daydreaming.

She took a glance at Bella and so her holding some Christmas lights.

“Put one on our window and another one on our door. Ask Edward for help. Don’t stress yourself too much, you’re still recuperating.”
