Chapter 5: I Found You
“Hi Babe, what’s your name?”
Sam looked at the foxy woman who came up to their table. Hmn, not bad. He thought as he checks out the woman in front of him. Nice set of boobs and butt.
“It’s Sam, and may I have the name of the charming lady?” Sam flirted with the woman as he reached out for her hand and lightly kissed her on the hand.
“Charming, very charming. The name is Gwenn by the way.”
I’ll surely get entertained tonight, Sam thought. Not bad to end the day.
After dancing and getting to know chit-chats, his phone rang. Seeing his mom’s name on the screen, he cursed and quickly answered the call.
“Hello Mom?”
“Samuel! Where are you again at this time of the night?!”
“I’m out with my friends; and Mom, am not a kid anymore. You don’t have to check out on me every now and then.”
“Don’t use that tone on me, Samuel Lloyd! I’ll stop bugging you young man when you stop acting like a child. Go home now and buy me that cake I’m asking for. I expect you to bring it to me tomorrow morning for our lunch. We have a small get together with your brother and sister.”
Sam sighed. Great, just great. He can’t say no to his mom. He loves her to bits and amidst being called as the “black sheep” of the family, he always make sure to give his mom’s wishes.
“Sorry sweetheart, but I have to go. Perhaps we can continue this some other time?” He apologetically informed the woman in front of him. Better to be safe than sorry, he could not recall her name so he didn’t mention it.
“It’s okay gorgeous. I’m sure we’ll see each other again, soon. Here’s my card, you can call me anytime. And I mean, any time.” He caught the stress she gave on the words “any time”. He shrugged his shoulders as he steps out of the bar. The heck I will. I never make the first move.
He quickly went inside his car and drove off. He plans to drop by the cafe where normally buy his mom’s favorite cake before going home. He’ll pass the store on the way to his condominium anyways.
He sighed in relief when he saw that the store is still open. He quickly parked his car and went straight to the counter.
“Good Morning Sir, welcome to Hearts’ Cafe. May I have your order?”
“Hi Jenny. One strawberry-chocolate cake. The whole cake please.”
“Alright, Sir. Please take a seat while we prepare your order.”
