Chapter 8: Another Start

I’ll introduce another character here: Aiden (if you can remember, he is Sarah’s childhood friend).

Chapter 8:

Sarah opened her eyes. She quickly scanned the room where she is at and was surprised that it seemed not familiar. She was about to sit up when she felt a heavy thing on her stomach and legs keeping her pinned down to the bed. She can also feel warm breaths on top of head. She quickly took a peek below the covers and her eyes widened when she saw an arm and leg draped over her, and what made her feeling worse, she is nude beneath the covers.

Think, Sarah, think. What happened last night? She fought the rising panic that she feels and tried to recall what happened. She blushed when she recalled what they have “shared” and how she reacted (and moaned in pleasure!) earlier especially in the bath tub.

She released a sigh of relief when she realized that nothing happened between them earlier. Well, nothing technically. I still have my purity intact. She thought.

She took another glance at the man sleeping soundly beside her. He’s really good looking. Gone was the playful and jagged look that he had when he first kissed her. She took her time, admiring how handsome he looks while sleeping peacefully. He looks like a child when he sleeps. She smiled when he slightly frowned in his sleep. She then froze when he felt him tightening his hug and imbedding his face in her hair.

Carefully, she raised his arm and leg and untangled herself from his embrace. She searched for her clothes and found them lying everywhere. She quickly picked them up and put them on.

She’s about to head for the door when she stopped and hesitated.

Should I say goodbye to him? Silly me! What should I say? Hey, I had fun, thanks for bringing me to your place? She wanted to laugh hysterically. She doesn’t even know the name of this man! What happened earlier is something that she should only keep with her and then move on. She didn’t know what came into her and how she ended in that situation, but she’s glad that it’s now over.

Giving herself a final chance to look at him, she slowly walked back to the bed, took her phone and silently took a photo of his handsome face. Sighing, she stood up and silently walked out of the door.

She glanced at her watch to check the time.

“Almost 6. New morning, new day. It’s time for me to forget everything and continue living. I gave myself one night of freedom, and it will end in 3... 2... 1.” She held her head high when the time strikes 6am, walked her way out of the condominium building and headed home.

Sam woke up to the blinding light coming through his room’s window. He unconsciously leaned towards the left side of his bed and reached out, expecting to feel a warm body next to his.

When he felt that his left side was empty, he immediately opened his eyes and searched the room. The captivating woman he brought home earlier is nowhere in sight. He stood up and was half-expecting to see her inside the bathroom or the living room but after searching, he realized that she already left.

“Damn. She left and I don’t even know her name”, he muttered, feeling a bit frustrated. He wasn’t expecting her to leave that soon, not after what happened earlier. They still have an unfinished “business” between them.
