Chapter Eighteen

Ethan’s POV-

I explained everything to everyone as we sat in the “hospital room”. The plan was so simple.

Amber would lead us onto their territory, Samuel would hack into their camera system and we would find Shawn. Once we found him we’d break in, kidnap him and bring him back here until he agreed to tell us Katherine’s plan. Of course it wasn’t completely thought through but I was desperate.

We needed to find out what Katherine’s plan was before Tony is crowned king in five days and for some reason the only person I feel will tell us is him.

After I told everyone the plan and decided this would happen tomorrow night, everyone left to their rooms. I walked down the stairs from the hospital room to the kitchen, sitting on the counter. Dakota followed me down there and leaned against the counter.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” He asked me quietly.

I nodded.

“What choice do we have?”

“How about we just rescue Mia and Gale?” He asked.

I shook my head no.

“This needs to end, once and for all Dakota. But we could take Gale when we take Shawn.”

“Yeah but only if they’re near each other.”

I nodded, agreeing with Dakota.

This wasn’t what I wanted at all to be honest.

No what I really wanted was to bust in there, kill them all and take Mia and Gale back. But let’s be somewhat rational here…

“So I invited my sister here.” Dakota said, slicing through my thoughts.

I looked at him, confused.

“Your sister?”

“Yeah you remember Sarah?” He asked.

I nodded.

“Yeah. I remember her now. What was she like fourteen when I last saw her?”

He chuckled and shook his head.

“She’s eighteen bro and looks it too. Every time I see her she reminds me of how old I am.”

I looked at him, confused.

“She’s all grown up E. It’s scary. She actually looks like a woman.” Dakota said.

I chuckled.

“I wouldn’t know about that since I’m an only child and all. But when will she be here?”

Suddenly there was a knock on the front door. Dakota smiled and went to go answer the door. I heard the stairs creak behind me and turned around to find Josh walking down the stairs. He looked at me and opened the fridge.

“What are you doing still awake?” I asked him.

He shrugged and looked at the fridge’s contents.

“Couldn’t sleep. That storm outside is keeping me awake.”

I nodded and Josh sat next to me on the counter with a container of cookies, shoving one in his mouth. Just then Dakota and Sarah walked in the kitchen. Dakota dropped her bags by the stairs and I looked at Sarah.
