Chapter Twenty Three

Tony's POV-

I cleared my throat for what felt like the hundredth time within the past hour. It's around five p.m. and the sun was setting as people rustled about, dancing and such celebrating Andrea and I. We hadn't even been crowned king and queen yet but people were celebrating anyway.

I had made my speech about Mia when I first got out here. I was barely able to make it through the whole thing without breaking down in front of everyone but Andrea helped me get through it. Everyone, even people I didn't know came up to me afterwards and apologized to me, telling me they were touched by my speech. All I could do was think about my baby sister.

I shook my head of my thoughts and searched around for my beautiful mate. I saw her across the yard, chatting with a couple from a different pack. As I started walking towards her I couldn't stop from admiring how truly beautiful she was. The dress my mom had chosen for her not only showed her cute pregnant belly but it showed off all of her curves. Her long brown hair was flowing down her back in a heap of curls and her blue eyes shone with the brightest light I'd ever seen in them.

I got to the three of them and wrapped my arms around Andrea, stopping my hands right on our little bundle of joy. She turned in my arms and smiled.

"Tony."

"Hey babe how you feeling?"

She smiled at me kissing me gently.

"I'm okay. A little tired."

I frowned and she grabbed my face in her hands.

"But don't worry. I'll be okay Anthony."

"Andrea sit down if you need to. Rest. I don't want you hurting yourself or the baby."

She smiled and kissed me again.

"You're so cute when you're worried."

I sighed and watched as she walked away from me, inside the house.

"So when you planning on popping the question?"

I turned around and looked at who was behind me. Kyle stood there, dressed in his tux, his black hair still all in his face like the day he got here two years ago. This was the first time he's really talked since Mia's disappearance. He took it harder than most of us did, even me. I shrugged.

"I don't know, soon. Before the baby's born."

He nodded slowly and stood there silently, his hands in his pants pockets.

"Hey Kyle I wanna know what's-"

"What's been going on with me?"

I nodded and he shrugged.

"Mia's gone."

I was silent, unable to say anything.

"I already lost my mate and my child. Mia's all I've got when it comes to hope. If she's gone I've got nothing else."

I walked up to Kyle and placed my hand on his shoulder, squeezing it. My eyes were a little brighter than normally and I knew that because I could see the light off of Kyle's eyes.
