Chapter Five

Dakota's POV-

I sat at the bar with Ethan, Thomas, Samuel, Nick, Daniel, Eric, and Tony, drinking a beer. Josh, the only one of us males that didn't have a mate was on the dance floor as well as the girls. I watched as Sam ran up to us and sat on the other side of me.

"I can't dance anymore. I'm too tired." She said.

I chuckled and looked over at Ethan. He smiled.

"Just wait until you see Mia party. It's even worse than them."

I laughed at Sam's face. Just then Sophie and Sierra walked over towards Nick and Daniel. Ethan bumped my arm.

"Watch this." He whispered.

I watched and tried to contain my laugh. Sophie and Sierra were giving the boys their puppy dog eyes to get them to dance.

"Five bucks saying they'll give in." Ethan whispered.

I shook his hand.

"Deal."

Ethan and I continued to watch and finally Nick stood up, making Daniel stand up and they were both dragged to the dance floor.

"Damn. How'd you know they'd give in?" I asked as I handed him a five dollar bill.

He smiled.

"Because they're whipped just like we are." He answered.

I thought about it for a moment and nodded. I am definitely whipped. Just then a blonde walked past all of us, looking at us hungrily. She stopped right in front of Ethan and I and smiled. I tried not to puke. She was as thin as a bean pole and looked like she hadn't eaten a thing in two years. She looked at Ethan and then me.

"Hey handsome you wanna dance?" She asked me over the music.

I smiled a fake smile and showed her my left hand.

"Sorry. Married." I answered.

She looked around.

"I don't see your wife here." She purred.

I gave her a boring look.

"That's because she's at home with his wife and our kids." I said, pointing my thumb at Ethan.

She stared at me and then turned toward Ethan.

"You're married too?"

He smiled and showed her his left hand.

"Happily." He said.

She chewed on her lip.

"Oh come on boys. Neither of you wanna dance? I'm a ball of fun." She whispered and winked.

Ethan and I looked at each other and shook our heads.

"Look lady neither of us wanna dance." Ethan said, standing up.

She took a step forward and put her hand on Ethan's chest.

"Come on big boy. One dance. Your wife doesn't even have to know. And what she doesn't know won't hurt her."

Ethan stared down at her for a moment. I swallowed hard and was about to pull him away from her before he did something he'd regret when he backed away from her.
