Chapter Seven

Chapter Seven

Ethan's POV-

I stood in the kitchen with the whole pack as Fredrick explained why he was here. See two years ago, after Tanner died, his sister, who is Katherine, went missing and he went searching for her to see if he could change her mind about everything that happened. When nothing worked he kind of just...went missing. Now he randomly appears when Mia, Olivia and my baby boy go missing? Coincidental much? I stared at Fredrick as he looked at everyone but me. Fredrick and I didn't like each other that much. He dated Mia when I was in France with everyone else and then she dumped him after he tried to get in her pants. Of course I wasn't a very happy Ethan when I found this out but...I managed not kill him. He looked towards me.

"Ethan I heard about what happened. The whole pack knows already." Fredrick whispered suddenly staring at me.

I looked at the floor.

"I don't understand why my sister would think kidnapping them would avenge Tanner but no matter what I'll help you guys find them and bring them back." He said.

My head shot up.

"What?" I asked.

He nodded.

"I know you don't like me because of what I did to Mia and I particularly don't care too much about myself either because of what I did but I want to help. As a way of apologizing. Maybe I can finally get you both to forgive me." He said.

I nodded.

"All right. Because we need all the help we can get." I whispered.

He smiled and I looked at my family. Thomas and Luna were standing together, Luna holding two year old Anastasia who was sleeping. Grace and Samuel were together, Grace rubbing her pregnant belly soothingly. The twins stood with their mates and Eric stood with Leah Ann. Jake and Sam were standing next to Dakota and he was sitting in his chair still. Tony and Andrea were standing next to me. They all looked at me curiously. I closed my eyes and thought about what we were going to do. It was already three in the morning and I knew nobody would be up to sending out a search party now. They were all exhausted, worried and sad. I opened my eyes.

"All right everyone. Head to bed." I said quietly.

They all stared at me.

"What about Mia?" Samuel asked.

"Yeah and Olivia?"

"And baby Tuck?"

Everyone started asking questions and I shushed them.

"Guys were all exhausted. Sending out a search party for them now wouldn't help anything. We need to go to sleep, reboot and then tomorrow we'll start searching." I said against myself.

What I really wanted to do was get everyone out there now and search for anything to help us figure out where they are. They all sighed and nodded in agreement.

"Someone should stay up for watch." Dakota said.

I nodded.

"I'll do it." I answered.

Josh shook his head, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"No man I got it. You need your rest for tomorrow." He said.

I stared at him for a moment and then nodded, too tired to argue. Everyone started walking up the stairs, me last. I walked into my room, closing the door quietly. I sat at the edge of my bed, staring into space for a moment. I slowly took off my shoes, shirt and my pants so I was only wearing my boxers. I got in my bed and found it way too big for just me. I whimpered and reached out, grabbing Mia's pillow. I hugged it to my body tightly; her beautiful smell of vanilla and sugar permeating the air around me. Suddenly the door creaked open and I glanced up. Two little heads peeked into my room and I sat up, putting on a smile for my kids. Gale walked in, his hand clasped to Neomi's tightly. I smiled as they got to the edge of my bed. Neomi smiled at me with a smile identical to Mia's bringing a pain to my heart. I leaned over the bed, picking her up and Gale climbed onto my bed. I laid on my side of the bed while Neomi cuddled right into my chest. Gale layed right behind her and grabbed my hand. Neomi was asleep immediately but Gale was still awake, watching me.
