Chapter 1- Fated Actions

*Alexandra's POV*

I tidied up my house to get ready for my brother to come visit me. I looks over at the clock and sigh. He should be here soon. I look around my spotless apartment set up in a cute style. "I guess I'll make some tea." I mumble to myself and waltz into the kitchen.

- 7 minutes later-

I hear a knock on my door and walk over, opening the door. My brother Goyo stood in the doorway. "Alexandra?" He asked surprised. "I told you not to call me that! Just call me Alex!" I say and let him in.

"I'm still going to call you Alexandra."
"Jeez... Oh, would you like some tea? I've prepared some."
"That would be great, thank you."

I smile and walk into the kitchen. "You sure have grown from the last time I've seen you. I think your way cuter now too."
"You have too! I guess I'll never grow as tall as you."
"Your not even that short."
"Uh... 'Not even THAT short'? So I'm still short right?"
"Your fun sized!"
"Very funny."
"Have you found a boyfriend yet?"

I tense up at the sudden question. "Where did that come from?"
"Is that a yes?"
"Wha-- no! I don't have a boyfriend yet!"
"I could totally set you up with someone!"
"I don't need help finding a man! I'm capable!"
"I know 8 people!"
"E-eight!? I don't think I need it, th-thanks anyways!"

I replied flustered but he just chuckled.

I poured the tea into the elegant teacups. I bring the tray to the coffee table and set it down. Goyo happily takes his cup and takes a sip.

"What are you doing here anyways? Weren't you suppose to go on a business trip?" I asked and he sets down his cup. "It's been changed. It's next week so I decided to come here today and head back tomorrow."
"Why the sudden change of plans?"
"No one gets to see their family much anymore so they thought it would be best to take this week off."
"That's nice, but won't you be behind schedule?"
"Your even more of a worry wart than you were when you were 10."
"Wha? Am not!"

We laugh and talk. I let him crash at my house for the night.

- next morning -

Goyo slipped on his shoes and turned to me. "I'll be back next month."
"A month? Way shorter than last time."
"You don't want to see your own brother in a month?" He asked putting on a false sad face.

"Shut up, of course I do!" I say and he laughs. "Great! I'll keep you posted!"
"Alright! Drive safe!"
"Bye Alexandra!"
"It's-- ah forget it..."

I close the door behind him and sit on the couch. It was nice to catch up with him. I sigh and look outside.

I get up and go to the balcony and take a deep breath closing my eyes.

I open my eyes and realized someone was watching me. I turn my head to see a man with red hair staring at me with a smile.

He was standing in the balcony next to mine.
