(OH MY Gooosh! An update. I apologize for the wait... Again...)
Flounders POV
I should have told him! But what would happen if I did? Ariel would be furious. He would think of me as selfish or something making him hate me even more. But I only have three days, I have to do something, and this day's almost over. I never should have made that deal! Oh dear...What's to become of me?
I decide that my best option right now is to speak with the king, so I make my way towards the castle, ignoring the longing glares from passing mermen. I didn't expect this kind of attention, so it's sort of uncomfortable, but not unwelcome.
King Trident is floating above his throne as I enter. He gives me a welcoming look and gestures me forward.
"Flounder, have you seen my son? He took off earlier today." He asks.
"Yes, but I haven't been very successful" I respond. He merely nods then puts on his thinking face. I wait several moments before his loud voice fills the room again.
"I can arrange a marriage..."
"What?" I ask.
"I am the king, and Ariel's father... If I arrange a marriage between you two, he cannot reject you."
"But he has in the past... He's always not doing what he's told." It's not likely that this plan would work. Ariel's to stubborn and would never give in.
"It's worth a shot." He finishes. He then motions for me to leave as he calls over Sebastian. Somehow I doubt that this will work as Ursula's words continue to echo through my mind 'If you cannot win Ariel's love within three days starting tomorrow (today), there will be...Consequences."
I don't know what to do now, so I just wait in the entrance room to the castle. A few minutes later Sebastian rushes out from the throne room, exiting the castle. Following afterwards is king Trident. However he does not leave, instead he looks around until he spots me.
"Flounder you must come with me, you need to get ready."
"For what?"
"The wedding will take place in a few hours before the day ends."
"What!! Forgive me please, but I didn't actually think you would go through with this."
"How could I not? My boy is with a land person, a male land person just to make the situation worse. And you! I know for a fact that Ursula has some sort of deal with you, am I right?"
"Well...Yeah, but I don't know exactly what the deal is." He gives me look, which I can only assume means 'Do you see my point?' Which I do, so I nod then follow him back to the throne room were some mermaids are waiting. They lead me to a side room and start doing my hair and makeup.
Ariels POV
I finished the book I was reading, so I put it back and pull out another called 'Pride and Prejudice' It's probably my favorite book that I have. I read the first page, but can't seem to focus. I just can't stop thinking about Flounder. Should I have went after her, figure out what she wanted to say? That would make me seem like I forgive her though, and I can't have that. But something else is bothering me, deep inside, I can't figure it out though... It's just, a bad feeling.
"Ariel! Are you in here?" I hear a voice yell. I hide in a corner quickly before realizing who it is. Sebastian comes through the entrance and looks around. I swim out a little and wave. He sees me so I swim down towards him.
"What do you want?" I ask. "Did my father send you to find me so you could yell at me?" I fold my arms over my bare chest and glare at him.
"No, of course not. He sent me to bring you home for dinner. He wishes that you can forgive him...And...that you can find happiness."
