So, last night I wrote a poem about a little girl being senselessly murdered in her own home.
Hope you guys like it.
~
There was once a girl of nine,
Her arms of ivory bearing bracelets of twine,
Her hair divine and lustrous,
Her smile big and kind,
She was the sweet little girl of nine,
She had parents, who loved her,
Friends who adored her,
And teachers who were amazed by her,
The girl of nine was bold and kind,
Her heart pure and innocent,
Her laugh melodic and magnificent,
Yes, that was the girl of nine,
Her life wasn’t as fun as it seems,
For there was a man living beyond the streams,
He lived in the green house with white shutters,
And in it, lived a man without any manners,
He showered her with gifts and prizes,
Day by day, his obsession grew,
Oblivious, she let him in for a visit or two
Little did she know what he was going to do.
She told no one, she said nothing,
She put her foot down and went to bed
Tucked herself in, sleeping soundly in the night,
But then the doorbell rang and awake, she stood upright,
She was now awake and walking in the dark,
She opened the door and saw him in the rain,
Kind as she was, she let him in,
For him to only plunge knives down her limb
She kicked, turned, and tried to fight,
But alas, she had no might,
Her neck snapped and her skull cracked,
The man then left, leaving no track,
Her eyes rolled as her body gave a thud,
Her arms soaking with the scarlet blood,
As so were the bracelets of twine,
And that was it for the girl of nine.
