Oh father, oh father,

Oh father, oh father, where did you go?

I miss you so much, don’t you know?

Oh father, oh father, what will I do?

I am so lost without you.

It has been 6 years and a day,

When I last saw you when you left in May,

Oh father, oh father, why did you leave?

I miss you terribly, don’t you see?

You taught me how to read and write,

To ride a bike and to fix the light,

To know where I’ve gone and to find out where I went

You were there by every event.

Now the books are in dust, the pen put aside,

The bike is unused as the light dimmed away,

I myself is lost and in affrays,

Oh father, oh father, where did you go that day?

Why did you leave me in such strange world?

You left without a trace and without a goodbye,

I was starting to think you wanted me to die,

But if you did, all I ask now is why

I waited and waited, but still you weren’t there,

Oh father, oh father, where did you wander?

I was starting to get cold and numb after,

For the house no longer echoed with laughter.

I learned to grow and live past your lies,

But then, six years after, I had a surprise.

I saw you in the morgue with a sheet above your eyes,

Then, ever so quietly I said, “That’s what you get for ignoring my cries”
