I had to make sacrifices. My dreams came true. This was all before kids, and I guess before marriage too. Matt and I were able to separate things for a while. I switched houses even though my lieutenant there was a total asshole. He was later demoted though, and I guess things worked out. Matt and I were able to work separately, but that allowed us to have the same shift days. We were never apart for too long. That was the nice part about it. We got married, and then the kids came. It all seemed like it happened so fast. It was all here and it's personally a lot. That happens and I guess it's okay. We worked through all of it. Now I'm just at a point where I feel okay to settle. I feel like i've lived my dream long enough. I know i'm not done as a firefighter, and I never want to be. For my kids I'm going to take a less demanding job. I want to be here with them. I want them to have their mom here as much as I can. This would all work out. I'm just hoping that Kelly really knows someone. We need that right now.

Kelly came over to the house. We were all off today, and we thought it would just be nice to spend some time together. We used to all live together, and sometimes I missed it. It was like old times for us. I miss him in a way. The doorbell rang, and Maria ran to the door. She yelled as she opened the door to see who it is " Uncle Kelly!!" He hugged her " hey there's my favorite niece!!!" Shay walked from around the corner " hey... I'm here!" He laughed " Just kidding!" I hugged him " Thanks for coming!" He hugged me " of course.." I looked at Shay and Maria standing at the door " Hey girls why don't you go upstairs, and play.." They ran up the stairs and laughed. This was part of our house. Kelly sat down next to Matt and I " so... what's up?" I smiled " Well Matt..and I have been talking... so I'm looking to transfer.." He nodded " To.." I smiled " hopefully.. arson.." Matt looked at me " you know someone there.." He nodded " Yeah Nick Duffy... I can give him a call!" I smiled " That would be great!" He laughed " What's with the change.." I smiled " I just think it would be best to be home more.. with the kids.." Matt smiled " This is good!"
