"You just have to do it, Justin." I said to him, again, as we layed in his bed. For the past fifteen minutes I'd been trying to convince him to make up with his mom, since they had hardly even talked since the day she'd told him about his dad.

"I'm don't want to." He groaned liked a two year old, putting his hands over his face. The room was dark and I was next to him, propped up on my elbow so I could see his pitiful expressions.

"You have to. She already apologized, which makes it your turn." I explained, wanting for the extra tension in the house to be gone and hating seeing the two in a fight.

He pouted, leaning up at an attempt to kiss me. I quickly blocked him and put a finger against his lips, shaking my head, and earning another groan from him as he fell back against the pillow.

"Fine. I'll do it after school tomorrow." He finally gave in.

"Good." I smiled, leaning down and quickly kissing his lips. "And please don't mention school."

I was complaining now, remembering that tomorrow will be the first day back to school after break. Just the thought of having to wake up at six-thirty in the morning and go to that horrible brick building filled with obnoxious teenagers made me want to die. But this time around I'll have someone else by my side, which has never been the case before.

"Sorry." Justin laughed quietly as I settled down next to him. I felt my eyes start to drift shut just as a sound started to come from the next room over. A crying sound that I knew exactly who it was coming from.

"Dammit." I sighed, crawling off of the bed. Rose's nightmares had somehow managed to get even worse. No matter if I try to sleep in Justin's bed or with Rose, she almost always ends up screaming and crying from a nightmare, and it takes me a good chunk of time to wake her up and get her to calm down.

"Let me try." Justin sat up, surprising me.

"Okay." I shrugged, trailing behind him as he walked into the other bedroom. Justin quickly sat on the edge of the bed next to Rose, easily scooping her up into his arms.

"Hey..." he whispered. "Shh, it's okay."

I stood against the wall and watched as Rose laid her head against Justin's chest, seemingly still asleep, and suddenly calm down entirely. She stopped the crying and fast breathing way quicker than I'd ever gotten her to do. I didn't know if I should thank him or roll my eyes at that.

"See, you're okay. I'm right here." He continued to tell her as he carefully laid her back onto the bed. Annoyed or not at the fact that Justin could apparently stop her nightmares and I couldn't, there was no denying how perfect and adorable Justin interacting with her is.

"How the hell...?" I questioned as he walked back over to me. He just shrugged and gave me a sleepy version of a smirk, kissing me once on the lips then walking back out into the hallway. I knew I needed to go to sleep in my own bed because Pattie would be up before us in the morning to take Rose to school.

Just as soon as I forced myself into falling asleep, my alarm was buzzing beside me and Rose was flying around the room like a tornado. I groaned as I sat up, already dreading the remainder of the day. But at least it's starting to get really close to my birthday. And at least I have Justin.

I finally forced myself to walk into the bathroom and start to get ready. I left my hair in it's natural waves and spent about ten minutes on my makeup. Rose was about to leave by the time I had on my black skinny jeans and dark gray t-shirt, but I stopped her on her way out.

"Ah," I kneeled down in front of her, grabbing her wrist. "Love you, little one." I smiled at her. She rolled her eyes, but then smiled back and quickly wrapped her arms around me.
