I've never regretted not following a rule more than I do right now, sitting in this depressing classroom for detention next to Justin.

After panicking about having to pick Rose up, Justin had suggested that Pattie could take her to their place. I was appreciative for that because skipping a detention only gets you more detention, but I was still pissed at Justin.

We sat in silence at the back of the classroom until Justin stared at my face then burst into a laughing fit. Apparently the injury he caused was a humorous one.

"I'm sorry, you just look like a squashed pie." He whispered at me.

"Fuck you." I said, keeping my stare away from him and at the clock.

"God, I feel like an ass." He said.

"Good."

"C'mon, don't be pissed at me, babe. I said sorry." He said, his voice sounding deeper. If he thinks he can play his little tricks on me then he's so wrong.

"Don't call me that. And I'm not pissed. It's just like I said before, we're not friends."

"Sure."

"We're not. Why don't you go chat with your red-head girlfriend up there?" I pointed to Bitch Number One sitting in the front row with some other girls.

"She's not my girlfriend." He said. "Thank god she hasn't turned around and seen me."

"Mhmm." I nodded, then started faking a coughing fit. Just about everyone in the room turned around to find the source of the disruption. Bitch Number One saw Justin and made a face like she was silently shrieking. She jumped up and made her way to us as a few of her minions followed.

She sat by Justin and I took the opportunity to move to a seat over by the window.

"Stay in your seats, everyone." The teacher said and returned to whatever he was watching on his computer. I snuck a look at Justin, smirking as he gave me the saddest and most pissed off look as his ear was talked off. Serves him right.

Forty-nine minutes later the clock ticked to four and I stood, yanking my earbuds out of my ears that's I'd had plugged in to my old mp3 player.. "Dismissed." The uninterested teacher said without moving his eyes from the screen.

I stood to walk out and turned to see if Justin had somehow gotten out of listening to his little red-head girlfriend's voice of nails on a chalkboard.

I nearly fainted and threw up at the same time when I turned my head. He'd gotten out of it, alright.

The two had their desks pulled together and red-head was half on Justin's lap, and they were full on making out. Like, swallowing each other. No one else seemed to even notice or care.

I quickly covered my expression and turned around, fleeing the room and this god awful school. I tried to burn the images out of my brain as I hurried to pick Rose up. I thanked Pattie and was walking down the steps with Rose when Justin came walking up the drive.

"Hey," he nodded like a cocky son-of-a-bitch.

"Gotta go."

"You know... Casey isn't so bad, actually." He said, refusing to drop the obnoxious cocky teenage boy act.

"You're gross."

"Hey, not my fault you ditched me. You could've stayed, then maybe you wouldn't be so jealous right now." His smirk grew.

"Yeah, right." I scoffed and walked past him, quickly getting in the car and pulling off. I didn't realize until I got out of the neighborhood how hard I was gripping the steering wheel. That boy seriously has multiple personalities. One day he's completely fine and nice, then the next day he decides to become a raging idiot asshole.
