I rolled up to my porch and rushed inside. I tried to avoid my mom but when my back it the wall I know I had failed. I dropped my stuff and my penny board. "Where the hell have you been" My mother screeched. "why do you care now. I did see you coming to find me" I laughed. Wow who am I? I got slammed into the wall, a pain shooting up my back. "Who gives you the bright idea that you can talk to me like that" She growled. I pushed her off of me. "I have had enough of the beatings! I havent done shit to deserve them" I shouted. She eyed me for a second then her fist made contact with my cheek. I fell to the ground and everything went black.

Waking up the next morning in the hallway infront of the front door, I groaned and got up. I screamed out in pain. I examined my body and seen my pink shirt soaked in blood. I lifted up my shirt and seen a huge gash on my stomach. The pain was unbarable. I stuggled to get my phone. When I finally got my phone I called Alyssa.

*on the phone*

Alyssa: Shannon What's wrong

Me: Help

Alyssa:*hangs up*

I locked my phone and layed on the floor. I was slowly drifting into darkness when the front door swung open. Alyssa squeaked when she seen me. She quickly pulled out her phone and called someone. "Shannon stay with me please" she begged. I blacked out again.

*Alyssa's Point of view*

Shannon blacked out and I paniced. The ambulance is on the way with the cops. Shannon Is not going through this anymore this has gone to far. She is laing in a pool of her own blood. Shannon's PHone started to ring and I answered it.

*on the phone*

Me: Hello?

Matt: Alyssa?

Me: Matt... her mom beat her again... she is laying in a pool of her own blood, the ambulance is on the way

Matt: what??!?!?!?!

Me: She is blacked out right now I will let you know everything that is happening okay?

Matt: Alyssa promise me something. Promise me you will get shannon out of there, please

Me: OF course

Matt: Thank you, face time me when you get to the hopital

I hung up and put her phone in my pocket. I heard a knock on the door and I instantly opened the door. "She is righ there" I said guiding the parametics to Shannon's motionless body. "We have to hurry and get her treated or we are going to lose her" The parametics whispered to each other. "Miss Alyssa Where is Shannon's mother?" A cop asked. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON" I heard her screech. "Her mom beat her !!! Look at her! She has been beat since she was 12 by that women" I shouted, pointing at Shannon's mom. "okay thank you" The officer said cuffing Shannon's mom. "You little bitch,you are going to end up like her" She shouted as she got put in the cop car. I started to shake as I got in the ambulance with shannon.

"Miss Alyssa" A doctor walked up to me. I stood up quickly and nodded my head. "She is out of surgery and is in the recovery room if you want to go see her" I nodded and he lead me to her room. She was Laying with tubes coming from everywhere. She had needles in her arms and hands. She looked over at me weakly and she let out a sob. I rushed to her side and wrapped my small arms around her neck. "Is it finally over" She whispered. I nodded and she let out another sob. "Thank you" She whispered.
