It was a beautiful Saturday morning, i was still sleeping, meaning i could stay like this all day long with my beautiful wife Caitlin, but then i was dreaming about something and i heard a noise coming out of the children's bedroom, i didn't wanted Caitlin to wake up, because it's her birthday and i want to surprise her, so as a sign of me not being able to sleep again i rushed to the bathroom and washed my face before i confronted that racket.
"Oh come on" Emma whined silently as the tools she needed to wrap her gift fell on to the floor
Slowly i approached the room as i opened the door i saw little Bart laying on the ground while Emma was trying to wrap a present that she had bought for her mother while taking Bart out to have a good dose of fresh air, and also to stretch the legs for a while.
"Morning Emma, i see you've gone shopping for mom birthday present"
"Good morning dad and yes I've been out while you guys were peacefully sleeping like tiny Bart"
"We do don't we? And how was the search for the perfect gift?"
"It went fine although i got mistaken four times as Bart's mother, 3 employees told me that i had a beautiful baby and also did 2 elderly ladies that were checking brand new stuff in the baby section, probably searching something for their grandsons or granddaughters"
"Seriously? You got miataken and been told that Barty is your child?
Well that's a good one.
What did you replied to them?"
"I could only agree with them because i was bombarded with tipical baby questions like How old is he? And What's his name?" Emma's face was red in the moment her father made her remember those awkward questions.
"Anyway what was all of that noise i could hear from the main bedroom?" Barry remained calm and asked Emma
"Yeah that, i just want to or at least try to wrap this gift we bought for mom but Bart was holding onto my arm and i need it to reach the tools but in my attempt i made these materials fall of the shell"
After hearing the funny things that happened to Emma at the mall Barry crouched down and picked up the objects that had left their respective place at the shell, then he felt the need to take coffee for another day at CCPD, Barry was notified but he didn't remember what was it about as he was thinking he heard the phone ring and quickly flashed towards it to answer and it was Cpt. Singh.
'Barry i was calling just to remind you that today you have the day off because you had a family celebration or that sort of stuff, anyway if we need forensic assistance we'll try to contact you or Patty, well have a good day'
"Ok that was all about the notification i got from Joe, but i couldn't make out what it was until the Cap. called to remind me"
"Remember what?" Caitlin had woken up because of the phone call and was noticeably intrigued to know what had Barry forgotten
"It was nothing just some work stuff" Barry tried to reply but couldn't because Emma had found a way to get it all ready and went down the stairs to wish her mother a happy birthday
"Happy birthday mummy Bart, Nora and Laura, Joe and Henry came down from their beds and wished Caitlin a happy day "
"So guys get ready because we are going to see or do what your mother wants"
