Chapter 6: Hunting

I walk back to my room, with Reiji following.

"Why are we going back to your room?" he asks me irritably. I roll my eye, and look slightly over my shoulder at him.

"I need to grab some stuff, then we can leave." I reply and continue forward. We approach my door, and I open it quickly. We walk in, and I quickly walk over to the area where I put my weapons. I crouch down, and quickly open it up. I grab out my black bow, and 5, razor sharp arrows. I just as quickly cover the floor, and walk over to the dresser. I grab a black medical mask that covered my nose, to the bottom of my chin.

"What's all this for?" Reiji asks, a slight curiousity in his tone. I tie the mask to my face, and secretly smirk under it. I turn to Reiji.

"You'll see." I reply shortly.

We go to the woods on the opposite side of the mansion, and quickly enter them. I hear Reiji breathe in, about to say something, so I quickly turn aruond, and place a finger over his lips, and one over mine. He growls slightly over my action, but stays quiet anyways.

I turn around, and we go deeper into the woods. Neither of us make a single noise. Our feet don't crunch on the leaves and twigs, and our breath is inaudible.

We make it to a clearing, similar to the one when I first encountered Laito. I growl slightly at the thought.

I go towards to the middle of the clearing and stop, Reiji falling in step next to me. I feel him scrutinizing me, but I just ignore him. I focus my hearing, and pay attention to the sounds around me. Thankfully, Reiji stays quiet, and doesn't ask questions.

I hear birds chirping quietly, some squirrels eating nuts, and something else....

I whip around, bow and arrow in hand, and shoot through the forest. The arrow buries itself into a tree at least 100 ft. away, missing the two by a few inches.

"What the hell are you two doing here?" I almost growl, "You shouldn't sneak up on me." I say threatingly(did I spell right?). Subaru and Yuma look at me, slightly shocked, but quickly cover it up wih scowls.

"I just wanted to see what you were up to, and make sure that idiot didn't do something stupid with you. And this filth over here decided to tag along like a lost puppy." Yuma says first, before Subaru can even open his mouth.

I feel like I should appreciate that he was "worried" about me, but I'm not. I glare back.

"Well, if you interfere, or get in the way at all, I will not hesitate to destroy all three of your pretty faces." I say to them, glaring at each, warning them.

Yuma smirk deviously, Subaru kinda glares at me, and Reiji grunts, but has a slight smirk on his face as well.

Don't believe me I see. They better not try anything.

I turn back around, and focus my hearing again. "Now, shut up, so I can concentrate. I grab me that arrow." I bark at them.

It becomes extremely quiet, and I finally find my target. I open my eye, and turn my head to the left. Through the trees, I see an innocent doe, munching on grass, next to a full grown, male deer. I smirk widely under my mask.

I turn back to the boys, all of them staring at me curiously, and a little boredly.

"I found my target." I say simply. Before they can interrupt, I explain. "Stay hidden, don't make a sound, and follow behind if you want."

I start towards my destination, making no sound at all. I can tell they're all following. We make it to another clearing, the deer still eating. I stop, and the boys stop next to me. I look at them and quietly whisper, "Hide by the trees, don't make a sound, and do not interfere." I say sharply at the end. They nod, and disappear.
