Sitting in the bath, I spend my last minutes relaxing soundly before we have to leave, because I know that making our way over there is going to take about 2-3 days.
The bubbles are healing, relaxing my stressed muscles and brain. Candles are burning lovely scents into the air, the dim light is comforting, and I'm at peace for once. My eye hurts less than it usually does, making me feel even more happy.
It's been a while.
Before I'm ready, the water becomes colder, so I step out, and change into some traveling gear. I strap on a gun holder to my thigh, another on my bicep for knives, and a belt filled with silver bullets. I braid my hair messily down my head, and secure my patch.
I pack a few more items into a small pack, and throw it over my shoulder.
A soft knock hits my door, and if it weren't for my hearing, I wouldn't have heard it. I can smell Yui's anxiety from here.
"Come in." I say, and she doesn't hesitate to come in, worry etched on her face. I let out a small sigh, prepared for her rant.
She stops at the foot of my bed, as I lace up my boots slowly.
"Why would you leave me like this, with the vampires?" she says, hurt heavy in her voice, "I thought you were here to protect me! How could you leave me unprotected like this?" Tears are pooling in her eyes, and I can't help the feeling of pain that hits my chest.
"Miss Yui, please calm down." I tell her, causing anger to replace her saddened face. Before she can saying anything, I continue. "I left you with three that I trust not to bother you: Ayato, Shuu, and Kou. They may even keep you from the others bothering you. If I come back with you not the way I left you, all of them will face severe consequences."
I get up, and approach her. Surprising myself, I lean down, and squeeze her into a tight hug. She must be shocked too because she doesn't move for a second, but soon she wraps her arms around me and squeezes with all her might.
"I promise I will be back within a week, maybe less, maybe more." I whisper in her ear, and stroke her comfortingly.
"Promise?" she asks, voice cracking slightly. She looks up from my collar bone, and I look back down, giving her a small, but genuine smile.
"I promise."

"Let's go." I tell the three, nodding my goodbye at the others.
After carefully threatening them all to not hurt Yui, and keep the crazies from her, we said our goodbyes, and now, we're leaving.
I stop in front of the gates, and wait. I can tell the other three are confused as to why I have stopped. Sooner rather than later, a black Maserati Price pulls up to the curb.
I glance back to see the boys gaping at it.
Who's the rich one now? I smirk, and step forward.
A tall, lanky, Asian man steps out, leaving the car running, and bows before me, his torso bending to a 45 degree angle.
"As you requested, Lady Steele." he says, and I nod in return. He gives the three vampires a once over, then disappears in a small puff of grey smoke.
I walk to the other side of the car, and throw my bag in. I stand by the opened door, and look at the confused vampires with a smirk.
"Who wants the front?" I ask, and slide in to the drivers seat. The interior is just as sleek, and black, the glowing colors a dark red.
