"You've changed." he says, pointing out the obvious.

"Well, it has been a while." I say blandly. He looks exactly the same, being made of ageless stone and all, he can't really change much. Even though his body is literally rock hard, he has the ability to make it softer whenever he wants, with not much effort. His skin color stays the same.

He's made up of pietersite, a very beautiful stone, swirling patterns of blue, red, gold, with the base being a dark brown, almost black. The swirls of patterns make intricate designs along his arms, around his legs, across this chest, up his neck, and down his spine.

A long, pointed tail lays lazily on the grass below him. His huge, bat-like wings are folded neatly behind him, the hooks of them still a couple feet above his head. Atop his head, are a pair of rams horns, with his pointed ears pinned back against his head.

He gives me a lazy grin, sharp teeth shining though.

"Yes...it has." he says. Unexpectedly, he approaches me in a couple of steps, and engulfs me in a tight embrace, softening his skin as to not hurt me.

Like that's possible. I snort in my head.

I wrap my arms around him, and bury my head into his chest.

"I missed you, Ty." I tell him honestly, holding  back the tears. I pull back, and he brushes my hair back, kissing my forehead.

"I have too." he tells me, "But, I need to know what happened with you." His fingers lightly trace the straps to my eye patch, and over the lines of the scars.

I breath out.

"All of you deserve to know, that's why I came here. I didn't think others would be here besides Gabriel." I answer, getting an approving nod in reply.

"Alright. Let's head inside." he says, grabbing my hand, and leading me back inside. Passing by the dining hall again, I notice that the few people I know have left already, the rest of the pack the only ones left.

"Do you know where they are?" I ask Tyler, looking up at him. He's the tallest man in our family, towering at a height of 6'5", making me feel extremely short and tiny. But, I am stronger than him, which no one expects.

They'll be surprised.

"Yeah, in one of the meeting rooms. You'll see some old faces." he says, winking at me. I giggle slightly.

Tyler and I have always been close. He was the only one besides Apollo who would actually play with me. The others thought we were weird. Don't get me wrong, we all loved each other greatly, but some of us clicked better with each other than with others.

"Like who?" I ask.

"Always the curious one." he says, "Be patient."

Suddenly, he stops and looks up at the ceiling. But I don't see the end of it. It keeps going up like a chimney, and I can barely see what looks like a glass roof at the very top. Tyler looks back down at me.

"Grow some wings." he tells me, then without warning, thrusts upwards, and starts flying up the chimney-like roof, leaving me behind.

I pop out my black-feathered wings, and quickly follow suit. I eventually catch up to him, and he slows down, a slight smirk on his face.

"Was that necessary?" I ask, raising a brow at him. He just shrugs his shoulders innocently, and continues upwards. I shake my head, smiling, and follow closely behind him.

A couple seconds later, we make it to what seems like the top. What I hadn't noticed was that the ceiling is actually the floor to the office Tyler mention. The floor must be reflective so you can't see on top. The ceiling to this room is normal, made of the same wood as the rest of the palace.
