Back to 4th year

As Remus ran through the wall and onto platform 9 3/4 he noticed his 4 other best friends stood waiting for him. Together they boarded the train and sat in their usual carriage. On one side sat Sirius, James and Wormtail and on the other was Remus and lily.

The 5 spent the whole train journey chatting about the events that summer had brung. How James had spent his playing quidditch and chasing after lily Evans. How lily and Remus had spent theirs with each other and how Sirius and Peter did nothing productive.

While they were talking, Remus couldn't help but notice how different Sirius looked, in a good way. His eyes were bright and sparkling, his smile lit up his whole face and his hair, don't even get him started on Sirius' hair.

Finally they arrived at Hogwarts. They climbed the stairs up to the Gryffindor common room and sat down around the fire. It had been a long journey.

James sat near to Lily, Peter sat on the floor near to the fire whilst Remus and Sirius sat together on the longer couch.

"So Sirius who's your lovely lady this month?" Remus and James questioned.

"No one! I'm sick of you guys thinking that I care about nothing else other than girls!"

"Jesus pads, we were only joking around," Remus laughed.

"How about you Lily have you given into Prongs yet?"

"Not yet Remus'"

" I'm almost there though!" James butted in.

Everybody laughed for they knew that James Potter was no where near being Lily Evans' boyfriend. They just nodded along with it trying not to hurt his feelings.

After the banquet in the great hall, Prongs,Padfoot,moony,wormtail and lily all headed up for bed.

"I'm going to bed , I'm really worn out," lily yawned

"Okay goodnight beautiful!" James called after her but he received no reply other than the sound of the girls dorm door shutting.

One by one each of the marauders trailed to bed Sirius was last up. He had just crawled into bed when Remus woke up in a frantic state. He was rabbiting on and on about another wolf that was after him. Sirius managed to calm him down, and 1 and a half hours later Remus was back in bed asleep snuggled up to a sleepy black dog...
