Eleanor's POV

Claire Hanson had long, wavy, sandy blonde hair, pretty grey eyes, a nice smile, long legs, a perfect figure, maintained nearly perfect grades, got along with practically everyone, and had a perfect boyfriend. At least to her he was perfect.

Claire sat next to me and smiled warmly as she turned to face me.

"Eleanor, right?" I nodded. "I love you name. My great aunts name was Eleanor, but she passed away when I was really little."

I smiled politely, and she grinned back. Claire was one of those people that you couldn't help but like, it was impossible to hate her.

We started in on the questions right away. I learned that she had an older brother and a younger sister, and that her parents were divorced but she still saw them both.

We talked about school for a bit, because we finished quickly, and by the time the bell rang and we said goodbye to each other, I felt bad for her.

If her boyfriend, Blake, could cheat on her, the nicest person in the world, then there was something wrong with him.

The worst part was, she had absolutely no clue what he was doing. To her, he was perfect and treated her like a princess.

I felt bad that I knew. I wanted to tell Claire, but I didn't want to upset her.

I sighed as I walked down the hallway, and Rian came up and walked along beside me.

"Hi Rian," I said.

"Hey. Are you skipping lunch today?"

I thought about it for a minute. "No, I think I'll go. Why?"

"I think you should come sit with us!" he grinned.

"Alright," I nodded, and we went into the cafeteria. Zack and Alex were sitting at a table together and we joined them there, sitting across.

"Where's Jack?" Rian asked.

Zack and Alex shared a knowing look.

"Some sophomore stopped him to 'talk.'" Alex said. "She's probably a groupie, but he looked terrified when she started dragging him by his shirt."

"She's apparently a 'huge fan,'" Zack added.

Rian shivered. "Damn hormonal teenagers."

I laughed lightly. "So you guys are getting up there with your band, aren't you? Do you plan on making a living off of it?"

Alex answered me. "Yeah, I think we do. It's already made us some money. Of course I don't think we'll ever be rich. We told you we had a show lined up in a couple weeks, too. I'd invite you, but it's a 21 and over club. We aren't even supposed to be there. We go in, play, then go out."

Jack came and sat down on the other side of me. He stared ahead with a glazed look in his eyes, and his hair was all ruffled up.

"I don't like people," he said hoarsely, and all the guys but him laughed. "let's evolve guys. Let's evolve into animals. I don't like people," he repeated.

"Did she try to get some in the janitor's closet, Jacky?" Alex teased. Jack just gave him a blank expression. Realization hit him. "Did she...get some?"

A look of utter horror crossed Jack's face, and he began to violently shake his head no. "Never!"

The guys laughed again. Rian rolled his eyes, and turned to me. "I'm so sorry, Eleanor. Honestly."

I laughed. "It's fine."

"Hi!" a voice squeaked. I looked up to see Claire passing by with her lunch tray, grinning. She waved and I waved back, then she continued back to her table.

"Damn," Alex said, staring after her. "Claire Hanson. Crazy..."

Everyone ignored him, so I chose to also.

We finished lynch and then all said goodbye as we parted for our next class.

Author's Note:

Okay, so I realized that I needed to update, so I posted this chapter. I'm sorry if it's terrible, it's sort of just a filler.
