Chapter Twenty Two

Juliet's POV

What the hell. What the actual hell.

I stood in middle of the crowded school hallway, trying to make sense of the map and schedule I had received. I told the guidence office that Eleanor was the only person I knew, so they made my schedule identical to hers, but she was nowhere to be seen.

Someone bumped into me and I cursed under my breath. Did no one here have manners or something?

"You look like you could use some help."

I looked up to see a perfect smile below perfect eyes with a perfect everything else. 

"Yeah...uh, its my first day and I was supposed to have someone to show me around but I have no clue where they are."

"Well maybe I could show you around. My name is Blake."

He offered his hand and I shook it. "Juliet, nice to meet you."

"Pretty name. I like it." He smiled at me. "So Juliet, Where are you from?"

"Oh I just moved here from New York a few days ago. My Dad got transferred at his work."

Blake looked like he was going to say something else, but Eleanor popped up next to me.

"Hey I've been looking for you! I thought I told you to meet me by the main office."

"Well I would've but unfortunately I have no clue where anything is in this school. Blake here was just going to show me around because you were missing somewhere."

Blake stepped in. "Look, uh..."

Eleanor crossed her arms. "Eleanor."

"Yeah. I could show Juliet around, you don't need to."

She grabbed my arm. "No, thank you. I can handle it from here."

Eleanor dragged me away in the opposite direction. Once we were around the corner she stopped.

"What a douche."

"What?" I asked. "He was just being nice."

She shook her head. "I'll explain later. The bell is gonna ring, we have to get to class.

We went through the first three hours of the days and then Eleanor led me to the cafeteria, where we sat at a table with Alex, Jack, Rian and Zack.

They made room when they saw us.

"How's the first day going?" Rian asked me.

I shrugged. "I got a lot more homework than I expected."

He nodded. "Yeah. Get used to that. Teachers here seem to think none of us have social lives and would absolutely love to spend our free time doing homework."

I laughed. "Typical teenagers."

I noticed that Alex Eleanor and Jack were sitting next to each other, having a conversation in their own little world.

Ah, star-crossed lovers. You both love them and hate them at the same time.

Alex was playing with the food on his plate, making a face in his mashed potatoes. He looked up to see me staring.

"What?"

"What? Oh-nothing. I was just watching you...uh, play with your food...?" Smooth.

Alex raised his eyebrows. "Well I don't blame you. Look at this handsome dude." He tilted his tray towards me so I could see the atrocity of a person he had created.

I nodded. "Yeah, he's uh, very handsome. Great job Alex."

He grinned, clearly pleased with himself.

Just then the bell rang signaling the end of lunch, and we all stood up to part ways. Eleanor stood by my side to continue showing me where to go.

"See you on Friday!" Alex said before running off so fast I didn't have a chance to reply.

Eleanor gave me a look.

"What?"

"Nothing..." She said. "Come on, I don't want to be late.

Blehhhhhhh I'm ready for summer. Go away snow I miss the color green.

HEY HI HOW YA DOIN'? I haven't uploaded anything in a while sorry.

Sadly, there are only two more chapters left....sad face. BUT they are fun chapters! And the last one might be kind of sort of entertaining.

WHO'S A FAN OF OF MICE AND MEN??? I happen to be a huge fan and had to go buy Restoring Force as soon as was released in physical form. What are your thoughts? Do you have a favorite song off of it? How do you feel about Aaron's voice (its beautiful). I know a lot of people are saying its not a good album but I for one love it. Sure, it sounds different but its different in a good way. Let me know down there in the abyss!! Its there for a reason.
