Jack's POV
Rian started walking up the driveway with the girls as Alex and I tuned our guitars and plugged them into the amps.
"Hey, who is that?"
I looked up to see Alex staring at Eleanor's friend she brought with. "I don't know, man. Her friend?"
He stared a few more seconds then went back to what we were doing. I finished before him and went over to talk to everyone else while 'Lex finished.
"Hey guys," I said as I walked up.
'Hi Jack," Eleanor said smiling. I grinned back.
"Who's this?"
"I'm Juliet, nice to meet you," the other girl said shaking my hand and smiling warmly.
Alex came up behind me and nodded at Eleanor and Juliet. "Jack, I got all your...stuff...set. Go take care of it?" He widened his eyes at me.
"Sure," I said. "Eleanor could you help me with something?"
"Sure. Want to come with?" She asked Juliet.
"No that's fine. I'll get to know everyone a little bit."
"Okay. Lets go," she said to me, and we went back into the garage.
I pulled out a flyer from a shelf and handed it to her. "Every fall before it gets cold a park a few blocks away from here puts of a big screen and plays a movie. There's no fee, you just bring your own snacks and sit down."
"That's cool," She said. "I can't believe I never knew that before. It sounds fun."
"Its really fun," I said, getting nervous. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go?"
She smiled. " Sure sounds like fun! Are the other guys coming?"
I looked down at my feet, a huge lump in my throat. "I was actually hoping it could just be the two of us?"
Her eyes widened and there was a sickening moment where we did nothing but stare at each other. Finally she answered.

Alex's POV
As soon as Jack and Eleanor left, Rian and Cassadee ran off somewhere too, leaving me awkwardly alone with Eleanor's friend.
I was about to ask her her name but she spoke first, still staring towards the garage where the two of them had gone.
"I'm sorry, I guess Eleanor idn't introduce us. I'm Juliet." She smiled, holding out her hand.
"I'm Alex, hi," I said shaking it.
She looked back towards Jack and Eleanor. "Is he asking her out on a date?"
I was surprised that she picked that up. "Yeah. How did you know that?"
She laughed slightly. "We were talking earlier and she claimed to not like anyone but I can see right through her. I also saw the eye contact you guys made. Way to be conspicuous."
I shrugged. "Hey, Eleanor didn't see it, so it worked, right?"
She nodded. "I guess so. Here they come!"
I looked up and Jack and Eleanor were coming back towards of, both of them beaming but trying to hide it. I figured I would just ignore it and ask Jack about it later.
"Ready?" Jack asked.
I nodded. "Yeah. where's Zack?"
"I dunno," he shrugged. "Probably inside or something. He'll turn up in the next couple minutes I'm sure."
We waved to Eleanor and Juliet and headed in to get our guitars. I couldn't help but smile to myself every time I looked up to see her standing there. As much as I wanted to, I vowed that I wouldn't let myself get infatuated.
