Makeria

Everyone stared at Winter, eager to hear our story. "Well to start off, guess we should tell who we are," Winter began. "My name is Winter Akari, and this is my sister Makeria," Winter gestured towards me and I smiled at the guild. "These are our exceeds, Tigress and Leilani," she made another gesture but this time towards our friends, sitting on the table beside us. "If you haven't already figured it out, we're both dragon slayers.

"Eight years ago Acnologia reawakened. Of course you all know that," Winter continued our story. We had learned almost everything about Acnologia, so we already knew how close to home this story hit the guild members. "At this time we had been living in the dragon realm. A realm created by the dragon queen, intended to act as a safe haven for dragons who didn't have the darkness inside them. The dragon realm is sort of like the world Edolas." Faces lit with recognition at the name Edolas. The group before us seemed to be mesmerized by the story being told before them. I was so envious of Winter's ability to speak with people so kindly.

"The dragon realm acts as a different world. Dragons without darkness in their souls can travel there at will, taking a person or two only with strict permission from the queen or king. Our situation is a bit different. My sister has been taught the ability to travel to and from the dragon realm as long as she has another dragon's help. Many dragons haven't left the dragon realm since it was created in the year 777. Up until a little while ago, dragons were unauthorized to tell anyone of the dragon realm. The incident with Acnologia changed everything.

"Dragons everywhere were now aware they could easily be killed. This resulted in few dragons ever leaving the dragon realm. The dragons knew they needed to hatch a plan. Dragons were now afraid to interact with humans, or bring them to the dragon realm. They feared of another human becoming just like Acnologia. My sister and I were the only exceptions."

As Winter talked her expressions changed. One second she was sympathetic and understanding, and the next her blue eyes were passionate and fierce. She was truly amazing to watch. I glanced around at the guild watching her. The pink haired boy and blue haired girl were staring at Winter more intensely than the others. Sitting this close I could tell from their scents they were dragon slayers.

"The dragon queen and king found my sister and I when we were babies," Winter continued. "They were passing through many towns and cities in order to find a location to open and create the dragon realm. They thought the villages were abandoned, but then they found us. They thought we were special, so they took us with them, refusing to just let us die. Within the next few days the dragon realm was created. We were raised there ever since.

"Until the incident with Acnologia my sister and I were taught regular dragon slayer magic. Then dragons figured if there was a way to defeat Acnologia it would be with dragon slayers. The dragon queen and king confided with all the other dragons in the dragon realm, and they came up with a plan. Our training was immediately shifted to tact's to bring Acnologia down. We were taught attacks for subduing him and killing him. Even though we are trained, we know we can't do this alone. So we come here asking for your help," Winter finally finished.

Silence spread throughout the room. Everyone seemed to be debating on what to do in their heads. The scarlet haired woman finally broke the silence.

"Acnologia is extremely powerful being; our strongest wizards couldn't take him down. What makes you think you can?" she asked.

"We've been training for eight years on exactly what to do against Acnologia. I'm assuming more than half of the wizards in this room haven't even seen a dragon, and I'm also guessing very few of you did then. Our tactics have been planned with the purpose of killing Acnologia," I answered.

"This is a very dangerous mission. Just asking of your help is a lot. Especially from two girls you just met. So if your guild seems to not want to help we will complete our mission on our own without skipping a beat," Winter adds.

"I'll help!" the little girl with blue hair exclaimed. My stomach fluttered. "I may not be much of a fighter, but I'm a good healer!" she continued.

"Wendy!" shouts the white exceed giving her a look of disbelief. The girl, Wendy, shrugs it off.

"Thank you," Winter nodded smiling at Wendy gently.

"Wait a minute, if you're from the dragon realm, do you know of an Igneel?" the pink haired boy asked eagerly.

I glanced at Winter. I wish I could tell him, this must be Igneel's son. "All the dragon's information is confidential. All I can tell you is he's alive," I said.

"Oh come on there's got to be something!" he shouted.

I shook my head, "I'm sorry."

He considers this for a moment. "Well if you want us to help you, I wanna see your magic in action, lets battle," he said.

I smiled broadly. He wasn't exactly saying yes, but he wasn't saying no to helping us. Lets see what this dragon boy is made of.

"Alright lets fight," I smirked.

Winter stared at me questioningly. Before I had the chance to say anything to her, the scarlet haired woman spoke.

"I will help, but I'd like to see your style in person as well," she said.

The guild broke into murmurs of agreement, and the next thing I knew I was being shoved outside. I was about to battle another dragon slayer... wow.
