Winter

The entire guild seemed to have assembled behind the guild hall. There was a clearing of grass and several trees dotted the outskirts. I stood next to the scarlet haired wizard, and the black haired guy with the cool disposition. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. Well Makeria always was eager for a fight, I thought to myself.

The scarlet haired woman turned towards me, "I'm Erza by the way." I smiled at her, it was good to know at least someone's name.

"Oh, I'm Lucy! Guess none of us really introduced ourselves..." The blonde added stepping closer to Erza.

"The name's Gray," the black haired wizard said.

Several people came around introducing themselves to me. "Well, it's very nice to meet you all!' I exclaimed.

"The wizard facing off against your sister is Natsu," Erza added.

"Yeah and I bet ten bucks he's gonna get his trash kicked," Gray smirked.

"I just hope he doesn't go overboard," Lucy said.

"You two ready," I hollered at Makeria and Natsu, breaking the quarrel.

Makeria smiled then nodded. Natsu cracked his knuckles, "I'm fired up," he said.

     "Go!" Erza yelled.

Natsu ran towards Makeria at full speed. "Fire dragon, iron fist!" he yelled. Makeria was ready for his attack, and as Natsu's fist was about to make contact she stopped it using her palm. She flung Natsu over her shoulder. Natsu landed in a low crouch. A wave of magic power seemed to radiate off of Makeria. "Celestial dragon, roar!" she yelled. Stellar elements soared out of her mouth. Natsu held his position, "Fire dragon, roar!" he yelled, matching Makeria. When the two forces collided a big explosion shook the ground. The intense wave of magic from before disappeared.

"Did she use all of her magic power with one attack?" Erza asked from beside me.

I  shook my head, "Her tactic is a bit strange, you'll see."

"She's a celestial dragon slayer?" Lucy questioned.

     "Sure is," I answered.

     "Go Natsu!" Happy yelled.

"Kick his butt Makeria!" Leilani yelled, slightly louder than Happy.

I laughed, returning my focus to the duel. Makeria charged at Natsu. "Celestial dragon grip strike!" she yelled, going for a point blank attack. Another intense wave of magic rippled through the air. Natsu seemed surprised by the attempt at such a close range attack. It seemed as though Makeria's attack was about to hit home, but Natsu dodged at the last second, catching Makeria off guard. He seized the advantage. "Fire dragon wing attack!" he yelled, hitting Makeria square in the stomach. She fell backwards, gasping for air.

Natsu attacked again, Makeria barely missing the hit. I noticed that they were hitting each other just enough to inflict minimal damage, this was a friendly match after all. Makeria jumped backwards several feet, away from Natsu. "Gate of the messenger I open thee, Mercury!" she shouted as she pulled a key from her belt. A magic circle appeared, a figure decked out in black pants and a red jacket emerged. His hair was brown and spiky with frosted tips, he had two small white wings that sat on his shoulder blades, and a pair of sunglasses covered his eyes.

"You called?" he asked Makeria, smirk on his face.

"Um yeah! Go get him!" Makeria shouted at Mercury, rolling her eyes.

Mercury smirked yet again, charging at Natsu at a godly speed. Gasps were elected from the group around me.

"She has spirits of the planets?" Lucy asked.

I nodded, "Yep, they're pretty rare. A lot of people don't even know they exist because when the planetesimal spirit decides they have found a wizard they think will take good care of them, they personally hand them the key. She has all keys but Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto."

"I didn't think Pluto was a planet," Gray murmured.

"It isn't however, Pluto is still a powerful celestial body, so she gets her own key," I said.

"That's amazing!" Lucy exclaimed.

I returned my attention to Mercury. Mercury was behind Natsu in less than a second. Mercury pushed Natsu onto the ground, a critical hit. Makeria had begun to breathe heavily. All of the planetesimal bodies were very strong, and it took a lot of magic power to keep them on Earth. Makeria usually used more of a defensive style of combat so she could use her spirits netter. In this match I think she just wanted to show off her all around skills. Mercury landed quite a few hits on Natsu before Natsu predicted his movements. Natsu punched Mercury square in the jaw, making him fall down from the impact.

The ideal thing for Natsu to d would be to take Mercury all the way down, instead he charged straight at Makeria. She had used too much magic power with Mercury, she let her guard down. "Fire dragon iron fist!" Natsu shouted hitting Makeria. Makeria staggered backwards. Once she caught her breath she smiled at Natsu, Mercury seemed to assess the situation and figured he was no longer needed. He grinned at Makeria, pushing up his sun glasses, he then shot a wink at me, color rushed to my face as Mercury closed his gate.

Natsu and Makeria stood several feet from each other, both panting heavily. The guild seemed mesmerized by what they had just seen.

She is very tactful, conserving her magic power for her spirits is smart," Erza said.

I nodded, watching as Natsu reached his hand out to Makeria. Makeria shook it, accepting the draw.

"Well Makeria, count me in on the mission," Natsu said, toothy grin spread on his face.

Makeria smiled broadly. I did the same, another comrade this is great! I thought to myself. The guild including myself, rushed towards the two.

"Makeria, Natsu, that was awesome!" Wendy exclaimed.

"I'd love to talk to you about your spirits sometime. Count me in on your quest!" Lucy added.

Comments were just being thrown at Makeria and Natsu. I stepped away from the group, catching my breath. Several people agreed to help us... wow. I smiled to myself, my thoughts drifted to a faraway place, so I didn't hear the foot steps behind me.

"     "What about you?" a voice disturbed my train of thoughts.

I glanced towards the source, and noticed Gray. He stared at me innocently. The rest of the guild seemed to be talking to Makeria still, including Tigress and Leilani.

"Wh-what do you mean?" I asked, fumbling for words.

"Well, your sister can obviously handle herself in a fight, can you?" he asked.

"I would like to think so," I said.

Gray grinned, "Great we'll tell the guild. Wanna go at it?"

I smiled and nodded, accepting his challenge. We walked back to the group together. I couldn't help but feel I was being watched, and as everyone cleared a spot for us to battle, I could've sworn someone murmured love rival.
