Makeria

I had a pounding headache. I let out a groan, pushing my hands into my head and slowly sitting up. As I did so, memories flooded into my head. Training, Winter's dragon going crazy, and a mysterious woman that wanted to take the ice wizards. My eyes snapped open at the thought.

"Winter!" my sister's name exploded out of my mouth in fear.

A chorus of groans around me signified that the others hadn't woken up quite yet. Everyone seemed to be lying on the ground and slowly recovering consciousness. Except for Winter and Gray.

"Makeria!" two almost identical voices yelled at me from behind.

I whipped around to see two exceeds soaring towards me. Leilani soared into my arms, and Tigress hovered above my head.

"I can't find Winter anywhere," Tigress said, her expression full of worry and fear.

Before I had time to respond to what Tigress had said, another voice erupted from beside me.

"What's going on?" a tired looking Erza said.

Everyone had risen, and they all looked confused. They stared at me eagerly for a response.

"Someone, is out to get us. I think that they corrupted Winter's dragon, and then kidnapped Winter and Gray," I said.

"Who would do that?" Lucy asked, her expression filled with concern.

"It doesn't matter who it was, we'll just have to knock some sense into 'em," Gajeel said.

"Juvia wants to find Gray!" Juvia exclaimed.

Everyone began to spout conversation at the same time, and I could barely make out any of it. Not to mention my head constantly pounding.

"Enough!" Erza shouted, shutting everyone up.

I gave her a look of thanks, and averted my attention from the group. I needed to think. Who would do this, and why? How could we have already made an enemy, when we had only been here a matter of days?

"Makeria look!" Leilani exclaimed from beside me, and Tigress was already soaring past me.

I looked forward, and sure enough, two figures were walking towards us very slowly. I didn't even think, I just let my legs carry me. I rushed towards the two, the group of wizards behind me doing the same. I could even tell from this far away that they were beaten and battered. They leaned on each other for support, and it looked like they would collapse at any minute.

Winter's expression lit up once she noticed us, and Gray just smiled to himself. I reached them just as Winter's legs buckled, I dived underneath her to keep her from falling, and Juvia clung to Gray so that he wouldn't loose balance. He looked annoyed, but happy to be home none the less. I wasn't really paying attention to the rest of the group, I was more worried about Winter.

"Winter what happened? Are you okay?" I questioned.

Tigress nuzzled into Winter's hair as she spoke, the rest of the guild paying attention to her words. Gray simply sat down next to her, and looked ready to help explain.

"We were captured by Acnologia's apprentice. I didn't even think it was possible, but I know different now. Her name is Kage, and I can only assume that she uses some type of shadow mind control magic. Her powers have a wide variety, and I don't know the extent of what she can do," Winter began.

"She alone, took out all of us in one single swoop. How is that possible?" Erza asked.

Gray and Winter shook their heads, they didn't know.

"She's powerful alright? That's all we know, and that's not even the worst part of what happened there," Gray barked.

Winter glanced at Gray, a knowing expression on her face. She then looked back to the group.

"If we don't try and fight her, I'm afraid she'll hurt us all without even giving us a fighting chance. She said that I had to tell you about our encounter," Winter said, her voice full of raw emotion.

"Well what are we waiting for? If she thinks she can just mess with Fairy Tail, she's got another thing coming," Natsu exclaimed, and started to charge off.

Lucy threw her arms around Natsu's waist to keep him from running away, grounding her heels into the dirt as she was drug forward.

"Natsu we can't just rush in there without a plan you idiot!" she shouted at him.

Natsu stopped charging forward and Lucy let go of his waist, "Then make a plan now."

"We are flame brain," Gray said through gritted teeth.

Amidst all the confusion Wendy had made her way close to Gray and Winter, and had begun to heal them. If Wendy wasn't there, I wouldn't be surprised if Gray would've tried to beat some sense into Natsu. It fit their friendship after all.

"I'm ready for a fight like always, but I agree. We need a plan," I said, still supporting Winter with my side.

"Can you tell us what you two learned of her powers?" Erza asked the two.

Winter and Gray began to tell her everything they could remember about Kage, and amidst their description I didn't realize a particular wizard missing. Gajeel seemed to notice as well.

"Where did Salamander go?" he asked, clenching his jaw.

The group of wizards seemed to realize that he had left without any of us realizing.

     "Natsu," Lucy groaned.

"Well, so much for making a plan," I said, and with that, we chased after Natsu, towards an inevitable battle with Kage.
