     Makeria

Winter came home just as we were finishing decorating. We worked really hard and I was bummed Winter missed out on it. On the bright side, it was nice to talk to Venus.

"How was your walk?" I asked her.

In that moment Winter's eyes became cloudy. She stared at me intently, "It was fine," she said.

I was about to ask her what was wrong, but Winter's entire expression changed and her body went rigid. I turned my head over my shoulder to see what was bugging her. What I saw was a very tense Venus, who had just emerged from the bathroom we were decorating.

"Evil being," Venus murmured, and with a flick of her wrist several ribbons tied Winter to the floor. Winter smacked her head on the ground making me wince. I turned to Venus.

     "What the heck?" I exclaimed.

"Her walk was anything but fine. She encountered someone skilled in mind controlling. Winter's pure heart was covered in darkness and trapped, the person controlling her was in charge of all her emotions and thoughts. Whoever it was, wanted to know your whereabouts and plans," Venus stated.

"Will she be okay?" I asked, glancing at the tied down unconscious Winter.

"The mind control should be gone when she wakes up," Venus said.

"How do you know so much about this?" I asked.

Venus smiled knowingly, "I've been alive for a long time. Celestial bodies have seen it all before."

"Well thanks for your help," I said.

Venus nodded, closing her gate. I looked over at Winter's unmoving body. Who would do such a thing? What enemy had we already made? I was afraid I would never get the answers I wanted. Who on Earth would hurt or corrupt an innocent girl like Winter? My train of thought make my angry.

"Um why am I tied to the floor?"

I glanced over at a wide awake and confused Winter. My anger faded.

"Oh sorry," I said untying her as I explained the situation.

After I finished explaining what had happened Winter's expression became conflicted.

"All I remember is bumping into some woman. I don't understand why anyone would do this to us," Winter said.

"Well just sitting here thinking about it isn't going to solve anything. Lets get a good nights rest, we have a long day ahead of us."

"Okay, have you seen Tigress and Leilani?" Winter asked.

"I think they were with Happy and Carla, I'm sure they're fine," I said.

Winter nodded, and we tried our best to get a good nights sleep.

                               ***

Winter and I made our way to the back of the guild hall where we had our battles. Today everyone who had agreed to help us was meeting, so we could share our plans for defeating Acnologia. So far Erza, Gray, Wendy, and Gajeel had all assembled. Winter seemed to be discussing the bulk of what we would be doing, while I looked for Natsu and Lucy. After five minutes of searching to no avail, I gave up and went back to the group.

"Are you all ready to get started?" I asked.

They all nodded, "Couldn't find Natsu?" Wendy asked.

I shook my head, "No, but that's alright we need to begin-" my speech was interrupted by a charging Natsu, a distressed Lucy, and an eager looking blue haired woman. Natsu was coming in hot, and it looked like there was no stopping him. Or at least that's what I thought, but Erza stuck out her arm and Natsu's face collided with her fist. Winter let out a gasp.

"It's rude to be late," Erza said.

Natsu let out a groan. Lucy and the blue haired woman had finally caught up to our group.

"I'm sorry we're late!" Lucy said, gasping for air. "Natsu decided to drag me in the middle of nowhere..."

     "Uh that's alright," Winter said.

While the blue haired woman ran straight at Gray, clinging to his arm, "Juvia wants to help too!"

"Why did ya grab onto me?" Gray shouted frantically trying to shake Juvia off.

     "Everyone shut up!" Gajeel shouted.

Everyone settled down, allowing for Winter and I to talk again.

"Alright, this mission is going to consist of two fields, immobilization and attacking. We are going to split into two groups, one group dedicated to immobilizing Acnologia, the other dedicated to attacking his weak spots. The attacking group is going to be quite larger than the other, because we need a lot of raw power to kill a dragon. I will be in charge of the attacking group, and Winter will lead the immobilization group. We will explain more after we split into our groups," I turned to Winter, "Do you want to set up the attack dummy?" I asked.

She nodded, walking over to where none of us were standing. "Dragon slayer seceret art, superficial life!" she yelled. Winter's bodice became outlined in blue, as did the ground. A life sized dragon began to grown from the ground, as it finished a full sized ice dragon stood in front of us.

"Alright, this isn't a real dragon obviously. It's more of an object I can control. It is in fact made of ice, but the outside has the strength of dragon scales. It will attack when I tell it to do so, I can make it stop, but that's about it. We are going to practice our attacks on this thing, but first let's break into our groups," Winter said.

The guild members seemed kind of dumbfounded, but nodded their heads along anyway.

"Okay, Erza, Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy you're with me. Everyone else is left with Winter," I said, as we assembled into our groups.

"So when do we get to fight?" Natsu asked.

"As soon as I finish explaining things," I replied, "The immobilization group is going to be in charge of keeping Acnologia stuck in one place. We will have to act as a distraction in order for them to be able to do that. This will involve getting his attention and leading him in one direction. Once Acnologia can no longer move, we will attack. Dragons have two weak spots, where the wings connect, and their bellies. That's where we are going to focus our attacks. I don't really care what you do to hurt him, just don't get yourselves killed. Our practice shouldn't hurt us too much, but it may. Once we inflict enough damage someone will have to deliver the final blow, which is sort of gruesome. To make sure Acnologia is dead, he needs to be decapitated," I let my final statement sink in.

"For all the hurt he caused us, I don't care," Gajeel said.

I nodded, "Do you think you guys can do that?"

     "Definitely," Natsu said.

     "I don't know," Wendy said.

I turned to her, "Wendy your job will be a bit different, I want you to stay on the sidelines and only come in if someone is in real danger or needs healing."

"Okay," she said looking slightly unsure.

"We'll be fine. Acnologia deserves this, some beasts can't be given second chances," Erza said.

"Hey are you guys ready?" Winter yelled.

     "Yeah!" we shouted in unison.

"Okay," Winter turned to the artificial dragon, "Attack!"
