Chapter 26 I'm just not ready yet

Sophia's POV

We pulled up into the driveway of the house when kath stopped the engine.

"So are you still not ready to talk about what happened that day?" She asked looking to me in the passenger seat. I looked down to my hand that laid in my lap,

"Not yet, I'm sorry" I said looking back up and into her eyes.

"Hey don't be sorry, I'm not going to pressure you into telling us! Just maybe talking about it and getting it off your chest might make you feel better" she said wrapping her arms around me. I stayed silent. I don't want to have to open up the wounds of my past again, I moved away from it all so it was a fresh start. It's not that I don't want to tell them because of course I do but I just don't want them to pity me and my worst fear is for them to see me the way the girls who did it see me and they way I see myself. It's so hard.

"How about we go inside now" kath said looking down at me cuddled into her.

"Yeah" I said pulling away and getting out the car.

Katherine's POV

I shut the drivers side door before locking my car and making our way to the front door. I wish Sophia would tell someone what's happened, I can see behind her eyes that whatever it is it's still hurting her and it breaks my heart. Soph knocked on the door and Mike opened it

"Hey how did it go?" He asked as we walked in.

"It went so well, I don't have to go for another appointment!" She answered,

"That's awesome! You need to tell everyone" He said hugging her. After he let go he wondered over to the stairs and called "FAMILY MEETING!"

Soon everyone was sat around the dining room table and Sophia told everyone what happened. I couldn't help but think about what might have happened to her that day and what could have happened if we didn't go to the front of the hotel, would anyone have helped our little sister or would the public have just pretend they didn't see what was going on?

I was pulled from my thoughts by everyone moving around again.

"I'm going to go next door and tell saffron" Sophia said "Anyone want to come with me?" She added.

"I'll come" Dani said as they left the room. Saffron was our next door neighbour who Sophia had become close with recently.

Once they had all left to do their own things I suddenly had an idea to get some idea of what had happened that day. I ran up the stairs and into hers, Lisa's, Lauren's and Dani's room and opened her laptop. I clicked on the Skype icon and searched through her contacts until I found Lily's name. Of course Lily would know, She was there! I started calling her.

Her face popped up,

"Hey Lily!"

"Oh hey Katherine" she said seeming a little confused.

"I need to ask you something" I asked,

"Sure go ahead"

"Okay so who were those girls that beat you guys and and why did they do that to her?" I asked. She went quite.

"I can see the pain behind her eyes but none of us can help her because she won't tell us what's going on" I added.

"I don't think it's my place to say but if your that worried try to talk to her" she advised,

"We've all tried but she just, I don't know it's like she's scared to tell us" I replied.

"Okay next time I call her do you want me to say something?" She asked,

"Could you? It would be so much help"

"Sure no problem!" She said with a smile.

"Okay I got to go now as its like 11 Pm and I have school tomorrow" she said yawning.

"Okay, thanks for you help! Bye" I said moving the mouse to the 'end call' button.

"Bye" she said as the screen went off.
