Katherine's POV

After the family meeting I decided to make a start on the preparation to start packing. I know we still had like 2 1/2 week left but I find it easier to be organised so I know where everything is.
As I was sorting through a big box of books I found one of my old journals, I opened it up onto a random page dated June 12, 2009. I was 17 that year! I started to read, "ugh he's so dreamy, those eyes and that hair. I shouldn't be doing this to myself but I can't help but fall for him!" Oh my gosh I'm so glad those years of my life over haha. I remember falling for so many boys and them either being complete jerks or having girlfriends.
Just as I was about to read on Amy walked in,
"Hey Ame's, you okay?" I said closing the journal and putting it to one side.
"Yeah just bored" Amy replied laying back on her bed,
"What you up to?" She added.
"Just sorting through some stuff getting it ready to be packed" I answered looking up at her then back down at the pile of stuff around me.
"Yeah" Amy mumbled pulling her phone out her back pocket. I carried in sorting through some of my belongings when Amy suddenly asked,
"How do you feel about this move to the other side of the country?" I took a careful approach to answering this question as I didn't know how she felt about it and if she wasn't looking forward to it, I didn't want to make her feel awkward and like she's the only one but I also didn't want to lie.
"I don't know I mean like I will miss my friends and it will be hard moving away from them and into a place where nobody knows you but I'm also happy to get away from L.A. It's so dark here"
"Yeah I guess you're right. I'm just kinda nervous ya know" Amy said sitting up on the bed.
"Yeah I think we all feel a bit like that but it's for the best, especially for Sophia" I replied. Amy stood up made her way to the door,
"I'm going to go get a drink, you want one?"
"No I'm good thanks" I replied before she walked out.
**time skip**
I finished sorting through some of my things and decided to go watch some TV. As I made my way into the kitchen I saw Christina stood by the fridge on the phone, I presume she was talking to nick as she was smiling to herself like a goon, I just smiled at her and she smiled back before I got myself a glass of water and then went into the lounge.
Lauren's POV

"Hey kath" I said as I walked into the lounge,
"Hey laur, you alright?" She asked as I walked around the sofa.
"Yeah, do you fancy going on a walk?" I asked hoping she would say yes and to my pleasure she did,
"Just give me 5 minutes to get ready" she said walking out the room and up the stairs. I was hoping she would say yes as I just wanted sometime to talk to someone, I was kinda nervous about moving but I just wanted to talk about it.
I went and waited by the front door when Katherine came down the stairs, "okay ready" she said as I nodded my head and we walked out the door.
The sun was setting which made a golden light so the views were beautiful! We decided to have a rest and sit down for a while.
"Hey kath I'm kinda nervous about moving" I said feeling vulnerable.
"How comes?" She asked in a motherly tone turning to face me,
"I'm just scared about the whole making friends thing, like I'm so shy and introverted it took me forever to make friends here, what if I can't do it there or if nobody likes me there" I said looking out over the views.
"Lauren you're such a sweet young girl anyone would be crazy to not want to get to know you!" Katherine said wrapping an arm around me.
"I know you don't find it easy talking to knew people and I think all of us are pretty nervous about the move but you will make friends, like you said you did it here and I know you will be able to do it there! And you will have all of us there with you so you will NEVER be alone" she added. We just sat in the same place for a while after, just watching the sunset and talking about whatever.
