How Do I Say, 'I Love You'?

❤Chapter 7: Go Away!!❤

Adam and I walked the rest of the way to school. We were talking about yesterday, like class and things like that.

I looked up at the entrance of the school and realised how many students there actually were. Hundreds of girls and boys dressed in similar uniform, only to be different by skirts or pants.

Weird.

He gave me a wave and told me he'd meet me by my locker, he needed to grab some books from his own.

I nodded slowly then made my way to my locker, 1331. I spin the lock around and then felt it open. I pulled on the door then started to get some books, putting them into the locker otherwise putting them in my bag.

"Boo." I heard a voice say as two hands gripped my shoulders, causing me too jump.

I turned my head to see Conner smiling, his hands still on my shoulders.

"Sorry. Hey there." Conner says to me and smiles, finally letting go of my shoulders and letting me turn to face them.

I realised Dakota, Ebony and Mellisa were also there. Mellisa stood close to my side and that's when I realised Adam wasn't there.

"Good morning Ave." Dakota said in a sneering voice and then eyed me top to bottom, only finishing with a smirk.

"Great to see you back here!" I heard Ebony say in a chirpy voice and she gave me a soft smile, then getting a soft slap on her arm by Dakota.

"I-it's nice to see you all." I say quietly and gave them a weak smile.

"You doing okay?" Mellisa asked me and I was a little stunned by the question.

"Of course!" I say and then realised how uncomfortable Mellisa looked.

Mellisa had bags under eyes like she hasn't slept in days. Her hair was knotty and messy, was it a new style? Her uniform was crinkled and she looked scared.

"Why? It's not like a sandbag fell onto me." I say and shrugged, throwing in a fake laugh.

"That could be arranged." I heard Dakota say quietly and then I felt myself growing scared.

Something was seriously wrong.

Where was Adam? Why is Mellisa so freaked out? Is there something wrong with me?

"I-I gotta go and get some a-air." I say and then pushed through Conner and Ebony.

I drew a breathe and then held my books close to me, walking away from the group.

I practically ran away from the so called 'friend' group. I found myself going outside and far away from the classrooms.

I heard Mellisa calling out to me but refused to answer. The callings stopped and I finally slowed down to a stop to take a breath.

That was when I realised how far I had ran. From one end of school to the other. And I knew that wasn't good.

I was breathing harshly and trying to catch my breathe, then I saw that at this end of the school was a cliff edge.

The cliff edge was carefully hidden by trees with low branches and leaves swinging down. The cliff looked stable, so I took a few steps to the end. I stopped just a step before the edge and peered down. It wasn't that far down, but it was enough to possibly break your bones.

I was going to move back when I checked the time on my watch. I had a hour before lunch ended so I thought this was a great place to chill for a while.

I slipped of my shoes and left my socks on, then I sat on the edge and dangled my feet over. I looked out and across to see an almost mirrored side of the cliff.

Again, weird.

I was about to stand up when a voice made me jump. I turned around to see who the voice belonged to and you wouldn't believe who it was.

Who else? Adam.

His eyes were wide and he was staring at me. "What are you doing! That's not safe!" He called to me and his voice was shaky.

"Huh? It's fine. It's very stable." I say to him then stood up, slid my shoes back on then ran over to his side.

Adam was watching me the whole time and as I got closer, he ran foreword and embraced me in a hug.

I freaked out slightly from the sudden affection but didn't obliged, then wrapping my arms back around him.

"You disappeared.... Dakota told me you ran away..." He whispered quietly to me before pulling away from the hug.

What? I'm so confused.
