Petalburg City is a very beautiful and peaceful place. There are lots of pokemon trainers around. Not very far from us, we saw a Quilava and a Vigoroth fighting. Looks like a pokemon battle. I dragged Seira to where the battle was.

"Quilava, use flame wheel." a guy with blue hair and a wears a red short sleeve polo which he leaves unbuttoned and has a black plain long sleeve t-shirt within it.

Quilava was covered with dazzling flames and darted towards Vigoroth.

"Vigoroth, use thunder punch." a boy with brown spiky hair said.

Vigoroth's fist was electrified and it collided with Quilava's head. Both pokemons were pushed back by the collision.

"Not bad." Quilava's trainer commented. "Flamethrower lets go!" and a red bright flame came out from Quilava's mouth and Vigoroth took a direct hit.

"Come on, use swift next!" the boy with blue hair commanded.

Barrages of stars appeared around Quilava and it hit Vigoroth. Vigoroth fell down. Vigoroth's trainer is really worried about him.

"Come on buddy, you can do it." he cheered while Vigoroth is trying really hard to stand up.

Quilava's trainer just let Vigoroth take his time in standing up. And after a while, Vigoroth was back on his feet. Quilava's flames in the head and tail bursted. Looks like he's getting thrilled. He really matches his trainer's personality.

"I think it's already over." Seira whispered.

"I don't think so." I whispered back. "Quilava may have the momentum but Vigoroth's spirit is hard to break. He wouldn't go down without a fight." I added.

"That's the spirit!" Vigoroth's trainer was happy about how Vigoroth tried his best to continue on fighting. "Use slash!" Vigoroth charged towards Quilava.

"Quilava, use fire punch." and Quilava's fist was covered by flames.

The fire punch and slash collided. Both pokemon splattered. But Quilava managed to land on his feet. While Vigoroth fell down flat. And it looks like Vigoroth is not able to continue the battle.

"And the winner is Lei from Goldenrod City." the judge declared.

The declared winner named Lei, just returned his Quilava back to its pokeball and he walked out of the crowd. And two trainers stepped forward. Looks like another pokemon battle. I decided to leave. Seira followed.

"That Lei guy was strong." she muttered.

"I guess I find my rival." I said and smiled.

Then I bumped into someone. "Watch it." he snarled.

A boy with blue hair. He's the boy who battled before! The boy named Lei. He looked at me with curiosity.

"Want a battle?" he asked and a playful smile formed from his lips.

I smiled. Looks like read my mind. "I was thinking of the same thing." I replied.

We went to a battlefield. We started to attract crowds. I threw Treeko's pokeball and he eventually went out.

"A Treeko? Oh, I see, you're just a rookie." he said.

He threw a pokeball and a Breloom went out. "I'll fight your grass type pokemon with another grass type pokemon."

"Treeko, use quick attack!" Treeko moved quickly and he was already in front of Breloom.

"Use mach punch, Breloom!" and it was fast. Treeko suddenly fell down. His Breloom was able to land a punch against my Treeko.

"Treeko get up and use pound." I instructed.

"Catch his tail and use sky uppercut." he commanded.

Treeko swinged his tail towards Breloom. Breloom was able to catch Treeko's tail and he delivered a sky uppercut. Treeko took a big damage on that attack. He fell down. Hard to get up, Treeko managed to get on his feet.

"That Breloom of his is strong." I commented.

"I agree with you." Seira replied.

I have to think of a way to land an attack on him or I'll lose. "Treeko, use quick attack and then pound 'em." I said.

"Breloom, bullet seed." and his Breloom started shooting tons of seeds against Treeko. But Treeko was incredibly fast. He dodged Breloom's bullet seed and get to hit him with pound. Breloom was pushed back by Treeko's attack. Lei's face was full of surprise.

"Nice. I shouldn't have underestimated you." he muttered. "Gotta finish this. Breloom, end this with Sky Uppercut!"

"Dodge it!" I yelped but it was too late. Breloom delivered the blow and Treeko fainted. I lost.

"That was a nice match. Thanks for the battle." he is strong. Super strong. I found a formidable rival.

I returned Treeko to its pokeball and he did the same with his Breloom. "Are you going to the Hoenn league?" he asked. I nodded in response.

"Then that makes us rivals." he said with a smile on his face. I smiled back.

"See you on Hoenn league." he said and left. I just waved to say goodbye.

"That was intense!" Seira shrieked.

"Lower your voice." I said to her and she did a peace sign and mumbled "Sorry."

"What's your goal anyway?" I asked out of the blue. I was just curious.

"Well, I want to travel around the world and see all the legendary pokemons out there." she answered.

"Wow." his dream is really awesome. But kinda difficult too. Considering she wants to see all the legendary pokemons.

"Well, lets take a rest. It's been a busy day for us." and she started walking, going to the pokemon center. I immediately followed her.
