Nick & Carla one shots

Romantic dinner

He placed down each bowl carefully, wanting everything to be perfect. He knew what time Carla usually would arrive home so Nick wanted to surprise her with a romantic dinner. He even finished the table off with a bunch of white flowers and candles which were Carla's favourite. Nick held the lighter in his hand, being very steady as he did so. He lit the candle right before he heard the flat door being opened. He quickly turned around to be surrounded by 3 girls. He didn't even realise it was Michelle and Kate as he was to busy looking at his beautiful girlfriend that stood there in awe of the table for 2 that had been created in her flat. Kate and Michelle looked stunned at what Nick had done for Carla, Kate's mouth was dropped to the floor while Michelle eyes were gazing back and forth from the table to carla. "Oh, um, sorry I didn't realise you had your friends coming over " nick said looking at carla with a slight look of dissapointment on his face. Carla bit her lip as she took in what Nick has done for her. "Ahh well you see, I'm in the middle of sorting out some stuff with Kate" she said as she walked over to him placing her hands on his chest. Nick grabbed them with his own "hey don't worry about it, I'm sure I can do this another time" he said smiling. Carla looked at the table and noticed the candles. "Awh you got candles too?!" She beamed. "Just for you" he said while leaning down and picking up a petal that had recently fallen off the bunch of flowers he had gotten. As Carla looked at the effort Nick had gone to and then back up at Michelle and Kate who seemed to have struck up a conversation between themselves she decided that Kate can wait. It's not often her and Nick get good quality time together as they are always working and seeing as she couldn't bare to let nick down she thought she would prefer to have a romantic night in with her boyfriend. "Hey girls" Carla said as she turned and started walking back towards them. "I'm sorry but I think after the effort nick has gone to, I would like to stay in with him" carla explained as she looked back at him. He was looking at her already. "Hey don't worry about it, nicks gone to a lot of effort, you'vee got yourself a good one this time" Michelle said as she gave carla a playful nudge. Carla agreed but saying "yes and I love him more than anything in this world". Nicks face lit up with delight as he heard those words come out of her mouth. "OI but not as much as you love me" Kate said while throwing her hand into the half empty chip packet that was on the bench. "Alright well enjoy your evening, we will see you later" Michelle said as she winked at Carla.

"How come you did this" Carla said as she placed a spoonful of soup into her mouth. Nick knew exactly the answer to this without having to think. "I did this because I love you" he said. Carla felt so loved, ever since being with nick she has felt like she was important, like she was worth something. Carla looked at nick for a few seconds before putting her spoon down and reaching her hand across to his, they intwined them together, "nick, I honestly don't know where I would be without you, I mean if you hadn't called Aidan, I may not even have a business, if you hadn't called the police on Tracy I may still have been full of hatred for myself, if I hadn't of got feelings for you, I would be alone" she said as she looked into nicks eyes. He looked a little bit lost for words as he hated what Tracy had let her go through, all the heartache, tears and her self destructing made him upset. He couldn't bare to think of her going ahead with jumping off that quarry, in a way he was thankful for Tracy, for her owning up and stopping Carla from exiting his life forever. As nick looked into her eyes he could see how much she meant what she had just said. "I don't think I could bare to think about that, life was dull before, now it's a ray of sunshine, I get to wake up next to you, I get to kiss you whenever I choose and I get to make you romantic dinners" he winked. Carla welled up with tears as she witnessed her boyfriend sharing these things with her, a single tear rolled down her cheek, she didn't address it, she just continued gleaming at nick. "Here" nick said as he stood up from the table, folding the napkin in his hands and dabbing Carla's cheek dry. He placed a soft gentle kiss on her lips before sitting back down in his chair opposite carla.

As they both got up to wash their dishes, Nick slunk his arms around Carla's tiny waist. He leant his head on her shoulder whispering into her ear. She could feel his breath against her skin, it was warm. She tilted her head as he kissed her neck, he placed soft kisses across her jawline as he knew Carla loved this. Carla spun around so she was facing him, their body's only inches apart, but nick secured his hand on her back and pulled her in so they were touching. Carla looked into his eyes, wanting him to see the desperation she had for him. As nick looked into her beautiful eyes, he could see the desperation. He moved in to kiss her, she did the same, they kissed pationatly in the kitchen of Carla's flat, nick pulled away "ive missed you" he said as he looked into her eyes. Carla smiled and held her hand out for him gesturing for him to come into the bedroom with her. He grasped Carla's hand and squeezed it slightly making her smile.

"I've missed you too" Carla said as she lay with her head rested on Nicks chest. Nick was staring at her, laying peacefully with him, her eyes were droopy and she looked liked she was about to fall to sleep any minute. She felt 100% safe with him! she knew he wouldn't hurt her, as neither would she. Carla tilted her head back so she was looking up at Nick. "I love you" she announced, leaving nick smiling. "I love you to" he said as he placed a kiss onto her lips which she greatly accepted. Nick placed his arm onto Carla's back and his other on her shoulder, holding her basically, making sure she never left. Carla was so peaceful, as was Nick. Carla was fast asleep within minutes as she was exhausted but Nick, he just lay watching her, as she breathed in and out and moved slightly every few minutes. Soon enough Carla's peacefulness put him to sleep as well.
