When I think about a lifetime
I think of a hundred years
Ten decades stacked like bricks against the mind
When I think lifetime
I think of an old wrinkled man
And hunched shoulders
Bearing the years over and over
When I think of a lifetime
I think of my friends gone
Being alone
Or leaving someone behind
When you think about a lifetime
You think of the hours we spent together
And the countless moments in between
When you think lifetime
You think about the things we've done
And what we still need to do
When you think of a lifetime
You think of being together
Until a lifetime is over.
