And he waltzed in and out
Like flames in the night
He never stayed longer
Than a cigarette light
He crumbled away
Like ash into flight
And fluttered away
Like the tail of a kite
He burned out my sense
Of what's wrong and what's right
And corrupted my soul
Til the night that he died
