She was a pretty thing
She was his everything
She didn't know how to
Do math but dear lord she could sing
She was queen he was king
Her voice was lingering
In the heads of the people
Like this sort of never ending ring
She was the puppet king
Dragging him by a string
She made him feel special
But he was really just a quick fling
He gave her everything
She left his heart in a sling
Her brother had warned him
Not to be tempted by her voice's swing
Instead of listening
He ignored the warning
And at the end of the day
He ended up with nothing
