He gave me no reason
He left me no pride
He didn't leave a note
Or some rules to abide
Not even a phone call
A "hello" or a "sorry"
For leaving me alone
With a half formed body
Inside of my own
And a new mouth to feed
If our love was a country
Then I would secede
I can't even tell you
How much this hurts
Not even going into labor
Will make my pain worse.
