Maely awoke naturally. Her eyes fluttered open when the sun became too bright to ignore, and her arms stretched over her head as she yawned loudly.

She couldn't remember much from the previous night, after her and Calum came down from the roof - she vaguely remembered helping a tired (and insanely drunk) Calum back onto the bus and tucking him into bed before briefly explaining the situation to the other boys.

However, the moment she clearly remembered was Calum confessing that he felt something more for her than simple friendship. The thought made Maely's heart beat ever-faster in her chest.

She rolled over in her bed, facing the small table next to the bed and was surprised to find a box sitting there. She sat up slowly, her brows furrowed as she inspected the white box.

Maely slowly re-read the words on the box until they finally clicked in her brain.

'iPhone 6S'

Luke. Luke had brought her a new phone. Maely felt a smile form on her face as she opened the box and held her new white iPhone in her hands. She quickly carried it into the kitchen and started it up.

Luke, Michael and Ashton sat at the kitchen table, talking quietly among themselves as they ate their breakfast and sipped their coffees. Upon realising that Maely had arisen from sleep, they instantly turned to her with smiles on their faces.

"I see you found our little gift." Luke smirked, raising his coffee cup to his lips and sipping the liquid slowly.

Maely's smile only kept growing as she shuffled sleepily towards the table. "You really shouldn't have."

"Well, we weren't going to let you stay with that other horrid phone." Michael said.

"Hey! That phone did me justice, thank you." Maely laughed. She placed the phone in the centre of the table, letting the three boys fawn over it. "Has Calum been up yet?"

Luke shook his head, his face expressionless. "He's still asleep, but we have to wake him up soon for practice anyway."

"I'll go wake him up." Maely nodded. "You guys set up my phone."

Maely stepped back into the bunk rooms, slowly making her way down to the last bed and stopping at the foot.

Calum was tangled between the bed sheets, his curly hair a mess atop his head, soft snores escaping his slightly-open mouth. Maely smiled at the sight - he looked so sweet and peaceful. She found herself wondering what he was dreaming about.

She leaned forward slowly, resting her hand on the boy's shoulder before softly shaking his shoulder.

"Calum." Maely whispered quietly. "Calum, wake up."

"Mmhmff." Calum mumbled a string of incomprehensible words, turning over so that his back was now facing Maely. "I need sleep."

"You do," Maely laughed, nodding. Calum had had a big night last night, and all she wanted was to let him rest, but that wasn't possible. "But you need to get up for practice first."

Calum groaned, finally rolling over to face Maely. He rubbed his eyes tiredly, and Maely couldn't help but notice how adorable he looked when he'd just awoken - even with his curly mop of hair sticking out in all directions.
