Calum sprinted towards Jaxon as fast as he could, reaching the boy in mere seconds and tackling him to the ground, their bodies colliding with the rough concrete - but that was the least of Calum's current worries.

"Calum!" One of the boys called behind him, but all other noise was muffled to Calum.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing here?" Calum gripped Jaxon's collar, shaking him harshly. "Huh? How dare you come here!"

"Mike, call the cops. Now!" Luke ordered behind him.

"I came to see my one true love's grave." Jaxon boasted, smirking - he knew that he was getting to Calum.

Without a second thought, Calum raises his fist and lets it collide with Jaxon's face, raining down punches on the boy until all that Calum could see was red - whether it was from all the blood or his rage, Calum didn't know. Hysterical laughter filled the air, Jaxon's mouth wide open and filled with blood as he cackled loudly.

"Calum, stop! You'll kill him!" Ashton cried out from behind the boy, but Calum simply ignored them.

"Your friends are right," Jaxon pointed out through the punches - how he could still manage to speak, Calum wasn't sure. But the guy was a complete psychopath, so he figured he'd taken a  significant amount of beatings in the past. "You don't want to kill me, do you? Severely injure me, maybe, but kill me? No."

"You're wrong," Calum spat down at the man, his disgust for him filling his voice. "I do want to kill you - with my bare hands."

Calum raised his fist once more, but was stopped when Jaxon lifted the hem of his t-shirt, revealing a small pistol tucked into the waistband of his jeans. Calum's eyes widened at the item, and before he could reconsider he grabbed the thing and pointed it right between Jaxon's eyes.

The three boys behind him gasped, Luke screeching out, "Calum! No!"

"You move a muscle and I'll lodge a bullet right in your fucking brain," Calum hissed, watching as Jaxon smirked evilly, his mouth filled with his sticky blood.

"You're not going to kill me!" He cackled, his eyes wrinkling from laughter. "You don't have the balls to do it!"

Calum flicked off the safety and loaded the gun, the winding and clicking sound seeming ten times louder than it should've been, echoing throughout the cemetery. "Try me."

"Do it then," Jaxon grabbed Calum's hands over the gun, pressing it further into his skull, his eyes wide and mad. "Kill me."

"Calum..." Luke warned, stepping closer to the boy. "Don't do this, Calum. You'll regret it."

"No I won't!" Calum yelled back, tears blurring his vision. "I won't!"

Luke stepped behind Jaxon, where he was finally in Calum's view, and shoved his hands out in front of his body in an attempt to calm the boy down. "You don't want this, Calum. It won't fix anything - it'll just create more problems."

"It'll fix everything!" Calum argued, his hands beginning to shake.

"No it won't," Luke shook his head, his tone soft and careful. "You're not avenging her, Calum. You're angry and you're being impulsive - don't do this. Don't make it worse than it already is."

"Do it, Calum." Jaxon urged, his smile inviting and evil. "Do it - avenge her."

"No! Don't listen to him!" Luke raised his voice, becoming desperate. "You're better than this, Calum! I know you! Maely wouldn't have wanted this!"

"I hurt her," Jaxon said, his voice seething and snake-like. "I tried to rape her - I hit her, abused her. I kept her locked in a cell beneath an abandoned building and fed her nothing but stale bread and muddy water. I wanted to keep her there forever. I hurt her - I killed her."

"You killed her," Calum repeated, his voice soft and low at first.

"I did," Jaxon nodded, his eyes wide and his smile growing as he realised that Calum was finally agreeing - he would do this. "I killed her."

"You killed her," He repeated, his voice growing into a shout each time he repeated the phrase. "You killed her. You killed her! You killed her! You killed her! You killed her!"

"Calum, no..." Luke tried, but it was already too late.

"I killed her!" Jaxon yelled into his face, blood spraying out of his mouth as he screamed.

"You killed her!" Calum let out one final yell before pressing his finger down on the trigger and letting a bullet fly out of the gun and lodge itself in Jaxon's brain, silencing the boy once and forever.

Blood sprayed across the cement, the exit wound on the opposite side of Jaxon's head wide and open, with half of his wrinkled brain spilling out across the ground. The sight made Calum sick, but what made him even more sick was that he was the one who did this - he killed someone.

"Calum..." Luke stepped forward slowly, his body in shock.

"What have you done?" Ashton spoke in shock, Michael standing with his jaw agape.

"The police are on their way... th-they're going to be here in less than five minutes... Calum!" Luke panicked, making his way towards the boy. "Calum, you're going to be arrested! Look what you've done!"

Finally being brought back to reality, Calum whipped the gun up and pressed it to his temple. Luke, Ashton and Michael all let out a gasp and rushed towards him with panicked expressions.

"Cal-"

"Stay back!" Calum yelled, his face covered in blood and tears. "Stay back or I'll shoot."

"Calum-"

"I'll do it!" Calum loaded the gun once again, earning another round of gasps.

"Calum, don't do this!" Luke pleaded, tears now cascading down his cheeks. "This isn't the answer!"

"You said it yourself, Luke - I'm going to jail. I just killed a man." Calum's broke down into choked sobs as the words tumbled out of his mouth. He raised his voice to a shout as he repeated them, "I KILLED A MAN!"

The three boys flinched back, not knowing how to reply - Calum was right. He would be locked away forever, if not faced with punishment of death. But they couldn't bear to see their best friend kill himself.

"Calum, please." Luke pleaded once again, choked sobs escaping his mouth. He fell to his knees, begging the boy. "Please - you're my best friend."

Calum shook his head, his vision blinded by his tears. "This is the only way."

"Calum-"

"I'm sorry."

And in a flash, the world went black, and Calum thought - is this all that's waiting for me on the other side?

But a white light pushed its way into his vision, along with the only person he ever wanted to see - Maely.

"Calum?"
