Ch:5 The Training Room

SHELBY'S POV:

I stared at Andy waiting for him to look up. The anticipation was killing me. Then all of a sudden he looked up at me. His eyes were filled with tears and the look on his face was priceless.

He bolted off the cot and ran over to the glass. He put his hand against the glass so I did the same. Ruby pressed the red button then she said "Im giving you all a tour"! She swiped her badge across the door and it opened.

Andy ran past everybody and bolted towards me. He grabbed me and picked me up. More tears fell from his eyes as he held me and cried tears of joy. I latched onto him and whispered "I love you so much Andy"! He smiled back and said "I love you too Shelby".

He cupped my cheek in his hand then he kissed me. Butterflies erupted from my stomach and I blushed. I kissed him back for about 10 seconds then he set me down.

I ran over to Daryl and we hugged each other tightly. It was so nice to hug him again. He squeezed me so tight I had a hard time breathing, but I was doing the same to him.

Ruby said "sorry to break up the reunion, but we should start the tour, run the tests, and if you pass assign you jobs and get you badges". Me and Daryl let go of each other then I quickly gave Kiley and Chase a hug.

Andy grabbed me and held my hand tightly. We smiled at each other then looked at Ruby. She said "ok, lets begin the tour".

She swiped the card and the door unlocked. We stepped outside of the room and we walked down the hall. Daryl walked behind Andy and I while Chase and Kiley walked in front of us. Ruby led the way and greeted everyone that she saw in the hall.

After a minute of walking Ruby came to a halt. She turned to look at us then she pointed to the door. She said "all the rooms are labeled. As you can see this is labeled training room. This room is for people to go into to practice their fighting skills and built up muscles. There is a gym in there as well as a boxing ring, a gun range, and dummies to practice melee attacks and close hand combat".

She opened the door then let us inside. This room was absolutely huge. There were many people training in there. Some stared at us when we walked in. One guy stopped his weight lifting then he looked at me. He stood up and walked over swiftly. He asked Ruby "is that patient zero?"! She nodded her head and said "yes. Shes very intelligent and very cooperative".

The guy looked back at me then he held out his hand. "Hi Im Eric. Head guard of this facility. Its an honor to meet you". I shook his hand and said "Im Shelby. Patient zero I guess. Hope to be apart of your division". He smiled and said "oh you think your guard material! Can you even fight? I wouldn't want you to break a nail".

Daryl and Andy both let out a burst of laughter. Daryl said "oh man, Eric you have no idea who your talking to"! Andy said "she would put a beat down on your ass".

He said "ok little lady, you and me, lets do a little boxing". I nodded and said "gimme the gloves". He said "follow me then".

We all walked over to the boxing ring then me and him stepped in. We went to opposite corners of the ring and picked up the gloves laying in the corners.

My group and the whole gym crowded around the ring. I put my gloves on then I cracked my neck. He smirked then asked "are you ready to get your ass kicked little lady?". I laughed then said "no sir". I looked back at the group and saw Daryl and Andy standing right up against the ropes. Daryl screamed "you can do it little asskicker". Andy screamed next saying "beat him up good babe".

Ruby took out a camera and started to record me. After a few seconds everyone got extremely quiet. Some guy yelled 3...2...1...FIGHT"! The crowd erupted again as the fight began. We circled each other once or twice then he took a swing. I quickly dodged him then I swung back connecting with his cheek. He stumbled back a few inches then caught himself. He ran to me and tried to uppercut me, but I dodged that as well then punched his gut sending him to the ground.

Daryl and Andy were yelling and cheering me on. Eric quickly got up and punched me in the jaw. I was caught off guard so I dropped. I quickly looked at Daryl and Andy then I winked. They smirked and knew I was no where close to defeat.

I laid there acting all injured. While Eric got cocky and boasted I slowly got back up. I cleared my throat loudly to get his attention. He looked at me with shock. My eyes glowed yellow as I smiled and said "show time".

I walked up to him and let him swing. I dodged quickly... Now its my turn! I punched his face over and over. Right hook, left hook, upper cut, gut punch, and to finish off I dropped and swiped his feet out from under him. He fell onto the mat hard and laid there.

Everybody got quiet then Daryl yelled "THATS MY LITTLE ASS KICKER"! Daryl, Andy, Chase, and Kiley cheered and soon the whole gym was hollering again. Ruby quickly crawled into the ring and dragged me aside. She said "your eyes are yellow. We have to go to the lab immediately"!
