I awoke from a dreamless night. I groaned when I rolled out of bed. I felt like I haven't slept in years. I was exhausted. Before I could take another step I heard baby mungo start to cry. I instantly started to panic knowing that If I couldn't get him to hush up, the Knights would wake up. I rushed over to him and tried my best to coo him. I have zero experience with babies, I guess I didn't have that motherly instinct that people talk about. But I can't be doing a worst job than Mrs. Knight, she doesn't even know his name.

I gathered my toilet trees and headed to the bath room but of course the door was locked. I placed Mungo on the floor, and I pounded on the door until I heard someone get up. I quickly grabbed Mungo and took a few steps back. The door opened and there stood a very angry tired looking Mr. Knight.

"What the fuck are you doing waking me up at this hour?" He hissed

"I have my evaluation today. I need to use the bathroom to get ready." I stated looking at the ground.

He groaned "Fine you can shower too. Get the kid ready too. He's going with you. Mrs. Knight and I have to go to work. You will walk to the high school. Go to the main office give the secretary your name and then then she'll get you all set up." He rolled his eyes

"Thank you Sir. Quick question. How do get to the school?"

"Go left down the street. Figure the rest on your own because I have no clue. Hurry the fuck up your going to be late. And you know what happens when your tardy." He said while leaving the room.

I went back to the closet and grabbed Mungo's toilet trees and headed to the bath room with Mungo.

The bathroom was small. Basic. White walls, white tiles, white counter tops. Let's just say it's very white. I turned on the shower and undressed myself and mungo. I hopped in the shower with him in my arms. I aimed the Faust down so I could place in on the floor on the shower with out getting him wet. He whined at first. I had to ignore his whines If I was going to get us both ready in time. I washed my hair and my body getting the remainder of the dried blood off. When I was done with myself I turned to Mungo. I put the plug in the drain and let the bath fill enough so I could wash him. I never noticed before how skinny he truly was. I'm going to need to get a job or something. I have to save him. I washed his curly hair with the baby shampoo, pulling my fingers through the nots on his head. Once I was done washing Mungo I put a towel around us both and headed back to our room.

I dressed mungo in a black onesie that had a few holes, I put a pair of stained grey joggers on top and the same shirt from yesterday along with some worn socks and a pair of little yellow rain boots. I had to double up Fork's cold. I left mungo on the floor and got myself dressed. I wore a long sleeved black shirt, dark washed jeans, big wool socks which my big toes peaked out from and I topped it off with a red winter scarf to hide my bruise from Mr. Knight chocking me yesterday and I put my fake UGG boots on my feet.

Once we were ready I headed down stairs to the kitchen with Mungo in hand. There was a bottle with some kind of white solution. Baby formula or milk. I hope. I unscrewed the top and placed it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Isn't he a little old for baby formula? I grabbed myself the banana on the counter. The fridge and the cabinets had locks on them, so I could only eat what they provided me with. Which was never a lot. I fed Mungo and he was done eating extremely quickly. I could tell he was starving. I gave him my banana. I knew I could go another day without food but I wasn't sure how much longer he could go.

With that we were both out the door. There was a tattered stroller waiting for us on the porch. I wasn't even sure I was safe. I decided to take it and walk slowly. Even with him being tiny I wasn't sure how long we would have to walk. I was weak.
